me5t1za's(yes imma chicka) ek1 build from scratch

Ok so it's been a while since i updated my thread as i have had wrk/money issues etc but it's all good now. so here's some piccies. These were taken when my boi's friend was installing my polk audio 6x9's and Alpine amp in. Was pretty happy with the outcome as u can hardly see the wiring. I also got the JVC HU installed but have yet to take pics as it looks better at nite. I've put clear indicators on, an exhaust from the cat back with a cannon style muffler- decided to go with magnaflow, as i wanted a deeper sound rather than a tinny sound. I also installed a gli cluster in as i wanted the tacho. More updates to come. The next thing on my list is I have to get an air intake as well as some decent rims as im still running on hubs lol. niice..damn it looks shiny and clean, i miss my old black car.
bad thing was trying to keep a black car clean and shiny lol.

I was actually looking at getting that amp. Did you compare the sound of the speakers before installing the amp?
What kind of intake and rims are you looking at?

nice muffler, pretty good fit, usually i hate the look of canon exhausts, but your one is okai bro.

wish i had a sound system in my car lol.

thanx. ye i know i cleaned it that morning buh where i took the pics, the backyard was all loose dirt and patches of grass so it got dirty heaps easy. it dint help either when the dogs were running around. I cleand it last nite again and what happens this morning, it rains. just my luck lolz

yes i did actually. i did a thread asking what ppl recommended and then did some research. I wasn't looking at subs(for the moment anyway) due to space and just wanted some 6x9's which had both good base and some vocal clarity. I brought a cd in and tested them as i know what kinda sound i as looking for. Still have to tweak the settings in the HU amp etc, to get the right balance. Also goen to be getting some splits for the front down the track. Im heading towards k&n but still unsure and il be looking at gettin some 16' rims in gun metal and prolly only 5 spoke. I know what i want i just gotta look around lol My boi's been suggesting things but im like it's my car lol

What difference has the Amp made? I have all alpine gear in my car (6.5inch splits up front and 6X9s in the back.) and Im curious to what difference an amp can make to my system.
Are you looking at a K&N cold air intake or just short ram intake? I am just gunna run a K&N high flow panel filter and see if that is good enough before going all Cold air intake y0!
Personally I think Buddy Club rims, like the QF model, are a really nice 5 spoke design. Good on ya for keeping your fella in line! hehe.

The HU itself generally have speaker power outputs of up to 60watts (25Watts RMS per channel) and u can run, for example 200watts speakers but not at their peak, if im making sense. They will sound ok u just can't blast them as much. By having the amp, it helps support the watts of your speaker and make them sound alot better. I suggest investing in one. Yes i am lookin at a K&N cold intake but not sure yet if it's worth it as i only have an ek1. I gota look into the Buddy club rims, they sound aite.
