good thing your in sydney :P otherwise i would have some competition
^^^^ omg
that looks mint the fitment is hella aggressive. But **** u would get some aggressive fines and defect notices here. lol
if your a real G you'll go purple :)
hey guys, just wondering if it's possible to run 18x8.5 +31 offset on 225/40/18 tyres with zero gap without any guard work done?
If you're wanting zero finger gap you'll want a roll on all four corners and bumper tabs cut and relocated on rear. otherwise you will rub on bumps with a 225 tyre.
what susp. are you running? the stiffness of your sussy will also impact this.
i'm running buddyclub N+ coilovers on 5 clicks from fully stiff setting.
you'll need a guard roll all round if you wnt to so run those specs that low. won't rub once you have though so its definitely not a headache fitment setup :)
should remeber you can avoid guard rolling if u run hectic camber + run a 215 tyre.
Hi guys will these fit without rolling guards or scrubbing? Haven't lowered my car yet but will b getting N+ and ingalls rears soon.
18x8 +38 225/35/18
All round.
yep should be fine, you wont be able to go like 0 finger gap at the front tho with that size cos it sits almost flush so without a roll it might rub
if you dont mind rolling your guards, removing bumper tabs, then reasonable offset wheels should fit. I just did the whole lot before the wheels went on and had no issues.
my 97 accord
17x8 +35 215/45 fronts
17x8 +35 225/45 rears
-3 camber all round

http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/6465/img037c.jpg
as you can see no stretched tyres, sits flush, no rubbing or scrubbing

how it is now, with 17x9 +35 rears 215/45 stretched
^ Nice,
I am thinking of purchasing a pair or SSR Professors
F: 17 x 8 + 41
R: 17 x 9 +49
and run run 25 mm spaces
But i am not to sure how 17' would look on the euro ... opinions
[also just picked up my n+ ]
yerh coz felix ssrs are more crazy =P
they'll fit with no problems, but you might want to try a much lower offset if you want to get any kind of decent stance.
rather than picking up a high offset and running spacers, get a lower offset wheel so you can get the dish/stepped lip/concave rather than having none and it sitting the same.
best advice is to look around for your wheels and wait until you find the perfecting sizing. I've compromised a lot and run spacers and run into headaches with wheels that weren't right spec.
You can literally make anything fit, but it just depends how you want to go about it.
17's will look hot though ;)
if you want to slam you euro to the ground and want a nice stance 17x9 +22 all round would be great.
lower first..
stock height on 18's look so shit
Think i found the perfect set
17X8 +5
17X9 +10
Offset too low !?!

nah man. thats too intense. you gotta max everything.
I also saw these on NS...
with a guard roll and some stretch + lows and natural camber you can fit them man!
most people go bitch fitment in aus, so step it up and try something unique ;) run a 215/40/17 all round as well.
dudes have fit 18x9.5 +25 so a 9 +10 isn't impossible. it'll only sit out an extra 9mm from that and you'll have heaps more inner clearance to run some epic camber.
good luck :)
Lets hope it all goes to plan....
:-)
my current measurements are
Front: 100mm (body length from second spring perch to top of lower locking perch)
Rear 85mm (body length from second spring perch to top of lower locking perch)
This mean 0 finger gap at front and -1.5 finger cap at rear
they will fit tho you will need atleast -3/-4 camber at the front cos that will poke like a bitch and between -4/-6 at the rear. Ontop of that you will need a roll and pull all round + removing the fender liner. As a side note, if this car is ur daily i wouldnt run that hard.. you will go through tyres like condoms at a brothel.. :)
if its for weekend, than woo you hard work will pay off, you wont look back.
yeh bro if its weekend, go crazy on it!
follow UMAD style :D haha u know whu im talking about
I got air runner for sale it shuld help :) hit me up with offer
^ lol
umad is a bit to crazy haha
looks like i will be picking the rims up next week somtime
your car will swallow those specs with ease,
you wont need any bodywork even if you drop it down past no finger gap
looks it will be pretty close to perfect,
i have 8.5" + 35 on mine and the rears with -2 finger gap still has about half an inch from the guards
fronts, the rim is dead even with the guard with same ride height.
Rims and coils arrived today.
Ended up going for BBS RS in 17X9 +20 all round and BC N+
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a place in SYD to get my guard work done
that will be fresh!! pics pics pics pics!
not sure of guard places in sydney though...
215/45/17 will be fine.
if its a weekender and you want to go a bit more hectic on the stretch a 205 would look hot ;)
Very noice !!!
Hi guys sorry to bring up a old thread but I am about to buy some Work Emotion Xd9's and was wondering about size. I was looking at getting 18x9 all around with +30 offset in matte black. Would 18x9 all round be a bit to much? I would like a aggressive look but also dont want the car to drive like crap.
cheers
Bunthoeun
How low do you plan on going ?
Im currently running Buddy Club Coilovers with about a 2 finger gap up front and no gap at the rear on stock 16's. Also got ingalls camber arms in the rear.
So i would like to run a finger gap between the wheel and wheel arch.
good man! i just bought myself a set of RS's also :D in 17" just waiting for em to come over from japan :)
you should really just read the rest of this thread, which you obviuosly havnt done... all the questions you are asking are already covered in here.
PS. if the guy above you is gonna run 17x9 +20 you can run 18x9 +30.
PPS. what makes you think your car will ride like crap on agressive wheels?

sorry should off read the whole thread first. I have read somewhere on another forum that a guy running 18x9.5 all around on a integra said his ride was crap with the aggresive stance.
what offset did you end up getting ?Quote:

i need to get 2 center caps didn't know they were so expensive :@
iv also decided to spray the centers takata green with polished lip :D
Hi guys. Im looking at getting 18x8 for the front and 18x8.5 for the rear. I wanna run 225/45 tires for the front and 235/45 for rear. What i need to know is what offset should i look for so i dont have any clearance or rubbing issues? Currently its stock height but will lower (not a lot) in the future.
anyone tried fitting 17x9 +15 on a euro how much work am i expecting
just i can get me hands on a set of te37 in that spec cheap
u can fit +15 no problem just need to get camber kit for it to look nice n flush.
is it 17x9 +15 i might give it a try
Can't wait to see that!
gonna be like 6 months or so till its done :'( gotta get new lips made up and re-finish the faces etc.
and if you dont get defected again =P
it will still happen :P
ofourse, but should have kept it a secret, surprise ppl =P
19x8.5 +38
19x9.5 +38
would it fit with rolling of guards when lowered?
you should just do it, just incase. Better be happy than sorry, when i fitted my wheels i went out and got guards all rolled and all camber kits then installed the wheels, never went back or worry when i went wider wheels.
