Bought some 3mm spacers for the rear, the rim now sits flush with the front rims, looks nicer now :)
i thought the same, lol turns out 3mm just made it sit normal to the front wheels, was gonna get 6mm, but good thing i didnt
Installed Em1 style rear lights :D good fitment for after-market.
ah sorry man my bad... yea turns out 3mm spacers is the optimum for rims that size on the rear
thx man
gave it a beating and enjoyed it
haha, also installed a headunit 6by9s and 6's for front old ones are from previous owner dicked out
Installed mugen extractors, hi flow cat and custom catback :)
Just read there was a car accident in South Hurstville, 12.15am this morning, involving a Honda sedan possibly street racing. Hopefully not one of our forum members:

thats crazy split in two halves for sure racing in mums car
Thread needs a kick along
i know there is no turbo yet and thats because i want to run the b18c for a few weeks before turboing it
and i know it's a mess valve cover will be getting painted, wires and hoses tucked a lil as well as catch can and coil will be mounted differently
i couldn't fit my injen intake on as the edelbrock sits lower than the oem manifold :(
so looks like i will need a new intake pipe for the turbo aswell

washed it then it rained. fml
oldschool on the forums currently selling turbo setup for 2k man cheap as chips!
for the valve cover did you cut straight down to expose the timing gears and belt?
thanks
yeah like the look of it too haha
did you just use a hacksaw or something dl001 turbo kits off chops!
cannon exhaust install fail over the weekend :( however getting it installed professionally quite cheap tomorrow morning :D costing me a little extra because i won't let them hack apart my stock exhaust, just incase I want to change it back... and I'm asking for the stock exhaust back as well, which means fabricating new piping which also means its costing me $90 instead of $60... but still... can't complain...
I like the blades (very rare to see) - they give the car a bit more of an edge being polished. What size are they - 16s? EK4s are ok on hatch (seen some on sedans and just doesn't look right IMO), but if you polished up the EK4s they'd look pretty schmick too... my 2 bobs worth anyway :)
aint blades 15's?
blades are 15inch thanks for your input on the edge of polishing the ek4 wheels just ahvn't seen enough ahha
can't you get tyres changed over to blades if EK4s are same size anyway...?
yeah you can cuz,
4" cannon muffler installed today, and it sounds awesome... has evened out all the extra power that the short ram air intake added so I can lay the foot to the carpet in higher gears at lower revs and get some kind of a response...
I adjusted my coil-overs so that the springs are properly tight and slightly compressed when the car is raised. I am thinking it will handle better now, wait n see i guess. Also slighty lowered the front a tiny bit more :)
got my wheel alignment 2day ready for winton in november.
gonna work on teh cars body over the week end
decibel testing my exhaust tonite after work... i'm a little worried that my new awesome sounding exhaust isn't exactly legal, even tho the mob that put it on said that they tested it and it was... my car can't sound that good and be legal... lol
well a 4 inch cannon will never be legal, its one of those things if the police just look at its and automatic "thats to loud." defect.
also ive never seen a 4inch cannon pass an EPA b4 so maybe u could be the 1st and post up ur results.
getting some cables laid today at a few places
then taking it to the beach to get some sun :)
ordered a new clutch and tossing up the idea of a light flywheel and arp flywheel bolts
Do it, lighter flywheel makes a massive difference man
hit 100,000kms today
Added 1psi to all my tyres lol.. thought the pressures were a bit low as it is veering a bit to the left but nope.. it just needs a wheel alignment..
Hmm i need to put air in my tyres today as well haha thanks for reminding me!
bought HID's for mine. fuk we spoil our cars lol sumtimes more than the gf....
HIDs cost like $100,
If that is more than what you spend on your GF then you got issues coming lol
got my wheel alignment done at Donnallans down in Box hill for now as i cbf goin to centerline as its far as for me to get there just for an alignment.
i will go to center line later on to get all the corner weighting, dampers and rebound set up done later on down the track when the EK get a little more serious.
Centreline??? where and what place is that? i am assuming they specialise in that sort of thing? got some more details for me?
Donellians in Box Hill were absolute pricks to me last time i went there for an alignment. I left my car there with a sheet of the specs that i wanted, camber, caster, toe etc and they were like "yeah sweet as mate, no worries, come back in an hour and we will be done" went back in an hour and my car was on the machine and the guy says to me "mate, we didn't do anything to your car, it will take us too long to adjust it because of the camber arms" "we can make more money just buy doing normal wheel alignments and with your car it will just take too long and we won't make any money, so take it somewhere else"... All said in a bit of an asshole voice too. Never again to that place.......... :thumbdwn:
I took it to the Dunlop centre out near the city, can't remember which town exactly but they adjusted my car in about 30 minutes to the exact specs I wanted. I would go back there but was soo far away. will if i have to though :)
yeah centerline specialise in car set up for track work, they do weighting, alignments ect, ect. ill get back to u with more info on centerline 2morrow and get u some exact details.
yes i agree about donnallans now, i think its cos the older EK model they use the fork type camber arms and it makes them do more work so they get lazy and do a rush job. i was just there just to get the car goin straight with just small camber adjustments so it wasnt to bad.
haha... you guys make me laugh. If she doesn't notice don't tell her. If she does 'it was cheaper for cash' is ur best line ;)
bought a xforce twin loop s10 for my ej8 off a mate! with extra 2.25 piping for 150, and got quoted 120 to install from an exhaust shop inc. flanges =]
Im gonna stop spending on the car :(, the only thing is maybe oil change, but modding the car will be on hold till 2011 due to wanting to go over seas and buying ps3 just for GT5 :P
thats also another place thats ive heard of thats good.
i've called both trutrack and centreline and trutrack seemed way more helpful and informative then centreline, so i'll be taking my car there.
thrashed the shit out of it today
Realised the rear factory speakers are 6x9s so i replaced it with a sony one
thanks to me you found that out haha shoulda asked on the forums first
Found out i had a dead short somewhere that was blowing my instrument lights fuse, but ended up fixing it and DIYing my cluster lights to amber :D
ipod sync'd, rear fog wired up, gave it a good clean, topped up with fuel, drove it all over the place on the weekend
ctr sway install next or hsd coilovers, both getting done, not sure which to do first, and lakeside payment
Grounding kit, coolent flush, new thermo and a good wash.
lol nat what happened?
why on tilt tray dude ????
will be DIYing a leak down test on my b18c today
Lol something in clutch gone. Car at mech now.
Alot of people say they dont like that colour, but after i saw the colour freshly resprayed on my mate's car i fell in love with it! I would love to see an EG in that colour :D
didnt do it 2day but looking to the weekend, going to sand down the whole car and fix all the dints and prep it for a respray
That's prob the most fun thing to do lol after you finished you feel even better
well my civics not having much more done to it... however... I got Forza 3 for XBox 360 yesterday and I bought a 94 EG Civic in that and made it look like mine AND i've done heaps to that... does that count? :P
Lol is Forza actually half decent? Like in terms of gameplay and modding cars n shit? Cause i saw a video on youtube of it and i wasnt very convinced haha
Installed Cusco brake stopper yesterday.
Brake Pedal feels more firmer and responsive.
highly recomended.

I had forza 3 before i sold my xbox lol, its an awesome game, proll the best (as close to being realistic) driving game ive ever played..
Oh, yeh i filled my car up with petrol today
today, i changed my wheels nuts to Rays blue long lug nuts =)
Was meant to drop it in to the work shop to diagnose my power loss, but instead had to work, have to delay it for next week. Also installed my 10mm wheel spacers ;) but had to also use my 3mm spacers so that the back of the wheels wouldn't foul on the original wheel nuts. All fit together nice n tight, I will be checking the nuts etc closely over the next few days just to make sure things don't work themselves lose. Looks the goods though :)
Pics or it didnt happen :P
today i put some ek4 rims on my ek1 =D
There is a nice amount of poke now. I'm pretty happy with how it sits :) drove it to work today and it didn't scrub at all, even with a bit of 'poke' pics when the weather gets a bit better, car is filthy... raining like everyday down here..............
I would never own a Honda without one of those. I put one in my EM1 years ago, Improves braking feel so much more than you would expect
where do i purchase and easy to install Tai or DNYALL?
Hrmm should I put in my ek9 cupholders..
Crashed into a 08' AMG merc. wiped the front bumper off my EK. :(
