post in the technical threads some information in relation to the topic that may help a member with their situation. and if someone's nice enuff they will give u a pq point to acknowledge a quality post !

How do I know how many PQ points I have?
All you have to do is click on your User CP and browse down to the bottom of the page.
The number of points you have depends on the power of the user giving you the point(s). The more PQ points a user has, the larger the effect (that is, the number of points given) to the target user.
Who can use this system?
To avoid abuse, initially only moderators will be able to hand out PQ points. However once a user has received 50 PQ points, they are allowed to alter the rep of other users.
Note: Users with less than 50 PQ points can still click the icon however there will be no change to the score of the user who receives this hit. The reasoning being that you need to build up a decent PQ score before you can hand out points to someone else.
When/where to give PQ points?
Given that the system is to be used for knowledgable/technical/helpful posts, it is not to be used for posts made in the lounge or the Photoshop/Photography forum as these are off topic areas. By helpful we mean helpful to the thread starter or other users having questions relating to their Honda motor vehicle. It is not to be used for posts informing others how to use this website and/or its rules.
How do I know if someone gave me a Positive PQ point or a Negative PQ Point?
In your UserCP, if the little box next to the PQ point another user gave you is green then you got a positive PQ point. If the box is Red you got a negative PQ point. If the box is grey, then that user had no 'rep power' and hence no effect on your total number of PQ points.
I'm just posting to check out how much I know

wrong thread, there is another thread for infringements, this is for the PQ system.
just drop it alredy evan. the only reason you have issues with any of the moderators.the pq system/infringement system is from how poorly you act on the forum a large amount of the time.

1 square can be anything between 10 and 99 +rep points
wen u hit 100 or more, ull get to 2 squares
wen u hit 200, 3 squares, etc

I joined the Forum some months ago but still have not attained member status and do not know why. I have posted both information and also asked for information and am not aware of there being any problems but I still get the red banner when I sign in.

u need to make a helpful post or two that will get u a rep point from another member
once u have at least 5 rep points, u become a member
ther is also the minimum time of 1 month b4 u can be a member, but u have been on ozhonda for longer than that
also if u make a useful DIY, that can also gain u some rep points

FYI.
The PQ points system is currently disabled (indefinitely) for Newcomers / Members while we weed out the people who have been abusing the system (we know who you are).
Once we're happy that everything has been dealt with....the system will be re-enabled with tighter restrictions. So when it gets enabled again don't complain to us that it's hard to get PQ points......blame the people who've been abusing it.

I never liked the PQ system from the start. Its exactly like "Post Count" . PQ should be recieved for the exact same reason that post counts were also hidden. Turns into competition of who has the most blocks.

I think there's many points given for virtually no reason, like I've been given a point for something and I check why and I'm like, I didn't even give advice or answer a question, I gave what is in effect only my opinion.
I'm all for the PQ system if it's consitent and regulated, otherwise it's a little overrated.
Of course to regulate it means more work for someone who's prob too busy already.

I find myself getting repped by certain people and never repped by people with 'lots of green blocks' because my post is not worthy of their powerful 20 blocks or whatever they hand out. A helpful post is a helpful post.
it has nothing to do with them not repping u coz theyr arrogant with their 20 blocks
they may not have seen the post
they may not think that its worthy of recieving the repp, just in the same way that som1 with 2 blocks may not think a post is not worthy of recieving a rep
i think its good to be tight with repping ppl, i know i try to be tight to keep the system consistent and only hand out points to vey very informative and helpful posts
and so far it has been very good, just recently ther has been some massive abuses, for some reason

If your post didnt warrant a rep in that user's eyes, keep posting constructively and you'll probably end up getting repped by them or by others.
Its only since been a problem cause a group of users are repping each other constantly for posts that aren't anything but opinions etc.

Each green block should be limited to 1 block (100 points) per month+. That should deter those rep gangsters who went from 0 points to 900 points in a few weeks.
Anyways I think the mods should go through every users reps (those who have more than 5 blocks) and check for consistency. Each post they made should be looked at, if it wasn't a helpful answer, those rep points should be removed.
