1.5 i believe for the gearknob.
hmm wheel weight with the tire can vary wildly so ill bring a set of scales along next time i change. unless someone selling their rims would be able to weigh for us!
also, our flywheel is what, 4.5KG right? FL has a lighter flywheel than that too?
Hmm where can I pick up a facelift frontbar+lip? :D
oh really, as high as 4.8? hmm.
Ill be looking at getting a clutch soon and was planning to do the flywheel at the same time.
Would you guys recommend removing material from the stock flywheel, (like 2-300 grams) or not touch it at all and get a TODA flywheel if I want a lighter one?
Also, 12kg's is bloody heavy for our 17x7 rims! Damn, a CE28/TE37 is ~7kg for a 17x8.5 according to the wheel weight website!
Hmm....4.7kg is heavy? Stock AUDM DC5R/S are 7kg!
Why would you spend $500-600 for a 3.8-4.1kg flywheel and probably get nil difference in terms of performance? If you want to lose rotation mass....change the rims....
No point in comparing OEM rims to Racing forged rims? is there?
I hate my light flywheel on my FL. Every change must be super quick or the revs will drop down too much. On a steep hill there is no chance not using the hand brake and needs to rev to like 3000 or it'll still roll backwards. Traffic jam is not fun!!
I tried my fd's pre FL and it's much better. Honestly I won't bother replacing the flywheel.
Thanks for the insight, Philip. I do know what you mean, even with my PreFL.
My surprise regarding our stock rims is that they are Enkei, I thought theyd be maybe around the 8-9kg mark. Just didnt expect them to be so much heavier than wider rims, makes me think more about upgrading to lighter rims..
Yeah I'm surprised with the wheel weight.
My 18s with tyres are 3kg each lighter than stock. Without rubber the difference would be more.
