i say put a good driver and in and im 100% sure they will make up for that .2 difference.

Yeah it's a laughable diff really but they did put it down to the lighter flywheel. What they didn't tell you was it also makes it easier to stall lol

AWESOME. shouldnt be too hard/expensive to facelift once i get my EP3 :) looks so much slicker! i dont know about the altezza style lights though.. i much prefer the Pre-FL tails.

Very easy to stall until I got motor mount inserts. Shifts are great now but the seat is really shaking now, more so than the steering wheel.

Regarding tail lights I would like to tint the chrome bits and leave the red bits. A bit like FL GD jazz.

i always get told by unenlightened people that the EP3 reminds them of the jazz, i wouldnt want to make it more obvious! haha

Finally got my intake on today after about 2 months of it sitting in the garage. I was suprised with the performance that it has given me and the sound is great. One thing I have to ask though. Has anyone had any probs with water as it does sit very low and I would think that water would get in there pretty easily.

I've had the same intake in the car for awhile so far so good but watch out for puddles on a bad raining day/night.

Yeh it takes a bit of time and patience. The front bumper is a bit hard to get off. I damaged mine a bit. After the bumper was off it was pretty easy.

unless you're gonna drive into a pool/lake/river you're not gonna have a problem.

Picked up my EP3 yesterday and I have to say I am blown away. The car is an animal for such a small, innocent looking car! It absolutely flies

Btw anyone know the bulb type for the parkers and rear numberplate bulbs?

All I want to know is what else I have to look for before I accept the car?

Engine Mounts?

Gear Box Mounts?

Rust?

just the general used car stuff really (which includes rust). maybe the mounts and steering column noise.

ask to see the auction paper with KM on it ....
get it inspected ... you get a basic warranty 3 months if you buy from a dealer ... so if anything f$%ks up they have to fix it anyway..

Auction Papers, and extensive pictures of the car will be in my possession before I give a green light to start bidding on the car.

under 30000kms is pretty much unreal unless dealer provide you auction sheet.

engine mount issue is common prob for K20A but its just normal wear and tear.

hmm the mounts could some how tell the story of the car i think, eg..if the mounts have issue's at 30,000kms is:

A: the car must have Race real hard for it to wear the mounts way faster.

B: kms has been touch.


yeah i just hit 70,000kms plus my mounts still looking good,..plus i got a Spoon engine damper on the driver side mount to make it wear faster...:wave:

OEM mounts are weak, thats why ppl upgraded to inovative,spoon or mugen mounts etc.

You would be surprised at how many EP3s i have seen come up in the auctions with less than 30000kms.. Log books will be supplied.. Plus if there is more marks on the car than the auction sheet shows i dont have 2 take it.. And they have 2 get another 1. But they will only bid on cars i say too..

i drop her off every morning

for those who have fitted engine mount inserts or poly mounts etc. do your car sounds louder inside after they are installed?

i had spoon street muffler + kakimoto mid pipe installed a week prior to the inserts and they were pretty quiet. after the inserts, it's very loud inside, particularly at around 5000rpm. then the sound soften slightly all the way to redline.

it's giving me headache now but the car is very sweet to drive tho.

i got my oil change done as well and they charged me $154 all up (excluding oil).

so you got innovative mounts? car louder than b4?

I've been lookin at a few ep3's and noticed that some have different tail lights. Some have the clearer looking lights and sone have mainly red glass tail lights. R they different models or are they an aftermarket product?

the ones with the clearer are facelift 04-above and the red/clear are preface 01-03 models, same goes for the front lights, both PF & FL have diff headlights

what tyre spec are you guys running on your OEM wheel?? is it still 205/45?? is that the best for OEM 17, 7 wheel? or is ok to go 215/45??

Oem is 205/45 but compliance size is 215/45. Both sizes are fine but 215 is more common and so cheaper.

oh my compliance size is the OEM size 205/45 and the tyre are OEM too RE040...

(Correct if im wrong the EP3 R OEM tyre are RE040 205/45/17)

The oem plate (in Japanese) should say 205/45/17. Aus compliance may say 215/45 but it really depends on who comply yr car.

I go to the snow a fair bit, what snowboard racks do you use, do they even sell racks for ep3's here? I need it to carry at least 3, if possible 4 boards.
I'm guessing if I have 3 ppl, I can split fold one seat. But with 4 I will be needing racks for sure.
