Well anyways got genune ek9 headlights couple days ago :)
Brought her a few weeks ago and have done the following just to get her running and sounding right.
New upper control arm bushings
New air filter
Drained and changed oil and filter
Pulled off and cleaned throttle body and IACV. Bloody filthy
Tightened accelerator cable
wired in rear speakers
Put in 2 grommets to stop massive puddle forming in my car which made me rip it out and remove all underlay and dry carpet for a few days so drove around with the dash and 2 front seat in it, lol.
New drivers side headlight
Adjusted tappets
New rear parcel tray
New floor matts and car seat covers
Flushed coolant and re filled
It has a lot of dents so looking at new panels and spraying it myself in the xmas holidays.
That's all I could think of for now.
just wanna share my new ride.. sold the old ej8 due to having problems on engine and body i got a SILVER EJ8 149k on the clock fresh good engine (better than the red one) and has a enkei wheels but don't know the model ahaha,, it runs better than the old one.. and i have done rear disc conversion on it..

Spent the rest of the day taking out the Recaros and CTR rears to re-wire/heat shrink speakers and amp... OEM seats to go back in as Recaros and my rear dont agree with each other.

It only worked on the bonnet and the passenger door... I went thru 4 coats to get it that good but the 4 coats actually removed the worn out clear that was on there so that bonnet you see is bare paint. Once down to bare paint then used Meguiars Cleaner Wax to remove the swirls that the Swirl X left in the paint (ohhh the irony... lol)

The rest of the clear on the car is still hard and intact and could not be removed by hand with the Swirl X so it still is pink. When weather is good again might get a DA polisher to see if that works or even try to wet sand and get the clear off the rest to get rid of the pink...
I dont care about going down to the paint as I only wanted it to look good for a short time while I save up so I can get a respray done. Also gives me the opportunity to experiment on different ways to treat and restore paint.

Been awhile since i posted in here.... Installed a greddy Profec B, at first was kinda sketchy to set it at desirable boost to iron out spikes but now running sweet! re-tuning it on Friday, fingers crossed it goes well :D

If facelifted ej8 you mean by 99-00 ej8 then no lol. Its a Prefacelift ej8 which has been facelifted using oem parts :)
Coupes are nice but hatches have more options especially them wings...so many options compared to coupes. For coupes its either ej8,em1, mugen rep wings. Others like ferio and all that are hard to find.
