Need some help ordering the right brake pads.
Read earlier on this post that EP3 uses the same pads as S2000, just wanted to confirm that and that its the same for the rear pads. I'm ordering QFM pads which uses bendix part numbers and bendix unfortunately don't have DC5R on their website but they do have S2000.
Are u getting the HPX or A1RM? I thinking of getting a set of QFM too.

ok my supplier has come back and he is selling A1RM for $119 per axle + $8 shipping (free if buying front and rear together). (price might be different for S2k pads tho)
the Bendix parts number he quoted was:
Front : DB1206 Rear : DB1142
but according to Bendix site, front pad for S2k is DB1452.
apparently he said DB1206 is for "DC5 Type-R Aus-Non Brembo", while DB1452 (ie. S2k front) is for "DC5 Type-S".
anyone can confirm which 1 to get for Ep3?

I think your supplier is telling you fibs DB1206 fits DC2R and Prelude VTi-R, i tried putting in the DB1206 last night and it is alot bigger. The diagram for S2000 on the bendix website matches my front pads. DB1142 only comes in K500 but will fit i've been told.Quote:

Ralph Moore in Mascot is the mob that replaced my windscreen. They did a top job aswell. I got mine done for 660. Was happy paying 660 because originally it was looking like 2600 to get a windscreen delivered from japan. I just fitted a set of pads in my car yesterday. The box says S2000! AFAIK all S2000 pads have been the same and is EP3/DC5 non brembo calipers. As for a particular "Bendix" part number, I don't know. But a logical conclusion would be that its the same as their listing for a S2000.
oem, heard that k20 gb's are very fussy when it comes to oil, thats y some ppl use redline and stuff and find out there having problems with there syncros and bearings, so id assume honda would no whats best for there boxes so id stick to oemQuote:

what? I've never heard about mixing 2 types of oil to make an oil for type R's box. DC5R and FN2R and DC2R uses the OEM Honda gearbox oil without mixing it up with the other oil......Quote:

I have looked at car sales but there isn't much. just two to chose from and I think it's a bit expensive. I though that a 02 model would go for 25k or less nowadays due to the financial crisis and also age of the car but i guess such a quality machine keeps it's value.

i got mine from edward lee on parra road near the M4. they have one there i think. But i think there duech bags. Went through so much crap getting the car. But at the end of the day, im a happy EP3 owner
well not owner, as my fiance owns the car, but a happy driver as i never let her drive hahahahaha.
km is only a guide, always check condition.
EP3 is fairly reliable except for the usual engine mounts/steering column noise (both easy to fix) and becos K20 uses timing chain, this isn't an issue.
