Heh yeah thought about EM1s for a while, but prefer the look of DC2. That's not to say if a well priced EM1 popped up i wouldn't get it :P
would not sell your car if i was in your position charlie, youd lose quite abit of money considering what you bought it for in the first place
never "settle" for a car man. wait for one you really like, even if it takes time. that way you won't regret it in the long run.
Looks clean, and if you were happy to just go for looks and mild performance, I'd say go for it. But you already have a very similar car, so it seems pointless going through all of that bullshit just to go from an auto to a manual. If you want P-Plate performance and fun, more than looks, an EM1/EG/EK will be a better option than a Teg, I believe. Can't have it all at our price-range, unfortunately.
Clearly you aren't happy with your car. You want a manual, you want VTEC. I think if you did end up getting a Civic, you'd probably be happy with it for the next few years, modifying it here and there until you're off your Ps. I just don't think that's something you'll get from your current car.
yeah but these low km, clean cars tagged with a pretty pricey tag are not going to do you any justice. in my eyes your just repeating the same mistake that you made the first time you bought your car and you will lose even more money. weren't these the features which made you pay what you did for your first car? but if it makes you happy that is all you need to buy a car
Hey mate, friend of mine picked up clean dc2 vtir manual 100k kms just yesterday for 7.5k if you look hard enough you'll find one.
Yeah better take my time then and wait for 'DA 1' to pop up.
I want a B series so that rules out EG/EK without engine swaps, plus there is just too many of them going around in my area. Pretty much leaves DC2 and EM1. Both around the same level of performance, 1200kg 120kw/127kw. The EM1 being a 1.6 would have better fuel economy than the 1.8, although probably not much.
Stock or mildly modified? Some people say never buy modified cars cos they've been flogged... but some say modified cars are generally taken care of better cos the owners know their shit and care about the car
I believe it's ok to buy a modded one if the mods are only light. things like muffler, wheels, interior bits. stuff thats easily reversible. also buy a compression tester and ask the seller if they'll let you test the cars compression (takes about 20mins). if not, ask THEM to take you for a drive first, and see how they drive it. I looked at a jdm front one when I was looking for a DC2 and I mainly didn't buy it because the guy flogged the shit out of it when he took me for a drive lol
Would anyone be able to give me a realistic price tag for what my car would go for? I was planning to keep the wheels, but rest of the stuff would go with the car. You've seen what's on it from the pics i put up.
106xxx, auto, sub/amp, tinted, sunroof, lip, side and rear visors. Maybe chuck stock sussy back on.
