Even though "1800rpm test" mean shit but it still got the best wear rate among the rest. it does somehow shows how good their extreme pressure additives by Amsoil.

I'm not convinced as the test is done by AMSOIL. Where oil properties matter is when oil tempertures exceed 100 deg. How the oil breaks down, how the additives breakdown or withstand at great tempertures. This is when oils ain't oils. Nearly every oil on the market is o.k at 75 deg, and the wear properties at this temperture is irrelevant. As most factory engines/oil temp's are well above this from factory. That's why i'm saying there test is BS. I'm not slagging AMSOIL as a product, i'm slagging there test method and conditions.
There is a delicate engine oil/lubricant forums by the name of BITOG, i always do my research there when i have any question or doubt and some information provided by forumers are indeed very informative.
From what i gather, the general consensus of the best oil around are Redline, Amsoil and mobil.

how would 10w-40 full synthetic nulon fare in an S with 105,000km? too heavy, given winters coming, or fine?
i read through this whole post. can some1 tell me how often you'd need to change the castol edge 05W30 oil and how much it costs etc thanks
10W-40 should be fine as long as the oil meets the API standards SG, SH or SJ.
edit: "Meets the current API Standards. Edge is rated at SM which is the current standard.
You change it every 6 months or every 10,000kms. You can change it at 5000kms if your anal but I personally believe quality synthetic oils can be used for longer, and its a waste of money changing so often. Change the filter every 2nd oil change. Obviously if you drive the car hard all the time or go to the track alot I would be changing it more dependant on those factors.
Check your oil level every 1000kms or so as most S2000s tend to burn oil, the level should not dip below the L mark on the dipstick.
I use Edge 5W-30 and I buy it on sale for around $40 for 5L.

Which oils do you recommend for the diff & tranny? Post em up boys!!!!
I use OEM Honda MTF (blue label) for transmission and OEM Honda Hypoid gear oil for the diff. Its a black bottle with gold/bronzey coloured label with gears on it.
Car is stock. Does the job.
