Damn right changing the trims WILL effect side air bags! Not to mention the fire rating and compliance issues. Don't believe all ur told by the aftermarket guys who want their slice of your $$$$. If you aint been caught by accessories that are supposed to do this or that but don't live up to it then you certainly don't want to stake ur life on it by gambling with ur airbags.
