most likely..... ahahahha
I said you can hear it, but its very very soft compared to the civic vtir vtec crossover.. Hey vic, I'll take you for a drive and you can listen to yourself.
btw.. there was nothing wrong with my teg dudes.. I dragged a stock vtir before and killed it by 2 car lengths... :P
if you want more sound jus remove the air box and it'll sound mad lol
Ok. :DQuote:

I'll take you for a spin in mine if you want, VTEC is heaps loud. ;) :D
Hey vic.. Done deal.. whenever u are free. .weekends ? come online on mirc dude.. i'll chat to you there. The teg's vtec will sound like a whisper compared to the civics vtec roar.
i cant really hear or feel my vtec
i jus recently dynoed my car, it makes a nice curve all d way thru to 8000 rpm :)
no jump in power wen vtec hits
vtec kicks in at 5800 but doesnt really start pulling till about 6500.. take a note of your rpm once it reaches that.. u should see it go a little quicker than normal..
just get a full exhaust n intake and trust me u will hear the vtec kicking in
Just adding a decent filter, with aluminium CAI you should notice the VTEC kick in.
On my R - the difference from std air box to custom CAI was awesome :)
hmm i thought on a dc2 vtec kick in at 4400 and the secondaries open at 5800 rpm.
yeah...was gonna say your figure of 5800 is a bit high!
I've driven a stock vtir civic (we have one at home) and its really dam quiet...I mean it gets a bit noiser when vtec cuts in....but teg....really opens up....(exhaust and all).
I think perhaps what you mean is the vtec on the dc2 vtir is more refined and smooth sounding whereas on the civic its more all or nothing....
dats coz ur teggy isnt exactly stock quyen :P when u left maccas that day we had a lil meet, omg.. soloud!
but stock vs stock.. civic is damn noisy compared to teggy vtir on vtec!
