[CL9] weapon r header

What's the main differences between the Toda and Weapon R header? Would TODA provide more gains? But then I know it's not the best bang for buck lol

This has been discussed many MANY times before online on various forums/websites.

Weapon R and Toda are completely different headers and shouldn't even be compared.

Just ordered PLM headers and this will be my first engine mod. No intake or exhaust to be installed. Only the PLM header :thumbsup:

Hopefully the dyno should be able to say if this headers are any good

You had to modify the exhaust system for the PLM header cause you got no place for a cat converter. Else you risks $10000 fine if the five-o find out

Yep, will probably end up shortening the stock exhaust to get the high flow cat in there

All you need to do is weld cat and testpipe together :)

The PLM/Hytech testpipe is 25-30 cm long, not enough space

can't you cut the testpipe into 3 parts and replace the middle one with the CAT.... I'll show you what my one looks like..

thats what he intended to do, but as i said earlier, the PLM/Hytech header is 40% longer than the Wp-R, there is no space to fit a cat without cutting into the catback

Yep fredoops right, the test pipe of plm is very short so i cant fit a high flow cat in there. I was deciding between a weapon r and the plm just because of this issue. But the price difference between the 2 was about $300. I decided modding the catback will be cheaper and gains are about the same between weaponr and plm.

Yep I am planning to put the HFC on the test pipe but look at the picture below. (Courtesy of TSX club)
