Why don't you use a stock ecu so you don't have to get an emissions test
The Autronic (tuneable) is already installed as it ran my supercharged engine. I was and probably am still in two minds which way to go.
The Autronic will need tuning once done but quicker to wire up the engine considering it is in the car already. It will cost more in tuning though.
The stock ECU I have is a chipped P28 but I am unsure how reliable this will be. It didn't come out of the same car so I would be hoping it is tuned correctly for the engine. The engine is a B16A with an Integra type R inlet manifold and throttle body. I ordered a chip advising the supplier of this info but I am putting my trust into someone online that it is right and won't destroy the engine.
On another note, If I make any mods later like cams and the likes then I am probably best to have the Autronic. If I do it now I won't have to do it twice (stock then tuneable)
Hence the two minds.
You should just get a Hondata s300 it's the stock ecu(the P28 is the best ecu to use for this) with a USB cable so you can tune it locally. I am using this on 3 of my Hondas.
Telling someone overseas to tune your car is not the best way to go about it.
Why would I buy a Hondata if I already have a tuneable ECU that's already fitted?
Either way they both need tuning. I am then just spending more money on a Hondata S300 aren't I? What are the benefits of the Hondata over mine?
It uses the oem ecu so you don't have to get an emissions test.
Ok. I'll have a look at them and see what best suits both the wallet, time and engine.
Custom radiator done and mounted in.
Before you ask, The yellow rocker cover is on to avoid damage to my nice red one.
Engine is back out now for hopefully the last time before the final install.
