AFIAK when the 90's model, whether it was eg, or ek, said it was VTI.... is just meant the model had more options... such as maybe airbag? cup holders? etc..... for some reason, it never denoted vtec. only VTIR had vtec.
i think i am right.... after going through this myself. correct me if i am wrong.
EDIT: looking at the first page, urs shuold be sohc vtec.... so i dunno... dont worry, vtec is overrated... there are plenty non vtec machiens out there smashing the rest of us....
Vti model coupes deinitely have a SOHC Vtec. Theres a GLI variant coupe that didnt have vtec but that only came out in 1999.
