Another thing - what elevation is the dragstrip these numbers are set at ?
Interesting how a lil EG pulls a 2.4 60ft and a 15.3 - where as the bigger brother GSI pulled a 2.62 60 ft and a 15.6 ?( another teg thread atm) GSI backed off where the lil SOHC had its nuts revved off ?

Id also like to see your cars pull the same numbers in the summer heat :)

Trav.. yeah man I pulled the 15.024: with stock (D16) intake, more interior, bastardised linkages and shifter, mix-matched suspension etc. on the road, the mods have made a huge difference.. but at the track.. my broken mount made the dominant side for wheelspin swap from driver's side to passenger's side.. WTF ?? the only SOHC EG there was in the 17's.. and your point doesnt make any sense anyway... teg backed off ? GSi.. ?? Big brother GSi ? man I dont want to get into an argument with GSi owners, but stock GSi's are pretty slow and like i've said before with small capacity mildly modified 4cyl cars at the track, a lot of it comes down to technique and driving skill.

Not to mention it was his FIRST TIME DOWN THE QUATER EVER, KB ran 15.4's all day and topped it off with a 15.3. the air-temp was mid-to-high 20's (I got sunburnt) so go choke on that... KB was only one tenth of a second behind B16A powered CRX, an EK4 etc.

yup i am jealous - but really i cant "choke" on anything since i havent ever run my lil D series down the 1/4 either - its very interesting to learn of another car very similar to my own running good times.

I was comparing it to another " top time" posted very recently. Stock gsi's arent slow - quite a deal quicker than any stock D series engines and they are quite potent too :) BTW Bede i was questioning...and waiting for KB to fill us in.

I think its great that KB is getting these times as i am a D warrior too so stop trying to back him up bede u nancy :D j/k .

Seriously tho , Get back to showing us all some numbers and some vids KB and please can ONLY KB talk to us about his car lol :cool:

am answering the questions asked on behalf of KB. I helped KB with his set-up and techniques for the day and feel I am able to answer the questions.

Internet Forums are for DISCUSSION. there is no law that only one person can comment on a question.

why dont you get out from behind your keyboard and go make a pass down the quater-mile yourself instead of wasting other people's time. The title of the thread is "D-Series 400m Times" and I have posted relevant info about my own D-series experiences as well as comparing my own against KB on the day in question at the same venue.

elevation info is not provided by the Motorplex that I can find anywhere.. but from memory I think it's 120m above sea-level.

Ben, Dont know about elevation. But its near the coast on the flats if that helps.

MWAHAHAHAH EG5, how bout we just become partners in crime. Or Ill be "King of SOHC" And you can be "Lord of the D16a8". Im just happy for D Representaion.
