i'm looking to get a magnaflow put on next week, with a full 3" system. I had a look at it the other day and it looks like a quality muffler :)
tacked on one of those xforce twin loops with a 2.5" inlet. sounds pretty nice. not hugely louder than stock. quieter than my old muffler with the silencer in.
admittedly, i miss the scream of the old n1 copy... don't miss the dronyness though :)
I have a Buddy Club Spec 3 on my Jazz. Full catback system with 60.5mm piping.
Legal? Not a chance in f*cking hell man!
Having such large diameter piping on a 1.5 means that I lose a bit of low-end power, but after about 4 grand, the thing friggen screams to the red-line.
It's TOO F*CKING LOUD!
I'm a huge fan of MagnaFlows and most of my cars have had MagnaFlows and I stand by their good name! they have cat back system for some Hondas too..Quote:

Here are some of the exhausts that I have fitted or had extended experience with:
VTEC EK Civic:
* A'PEXi N1 muffler w/ standard piping
Nice sound, VTEC slightly louder, inner diameter of muffler is smaller than inlet diameter
* A'PEXi N1 w/ 2.25" b-pipe, hot-dog resonator
Slightly louder at idle than above, VTEC sound is very high-pitched, like a Moto-X bike (boo..BAAAA). Got defected with this after a week of use
* Spoon N1 w/ Spoon b-pipe
louder at idle than A'PEXi, very bassy. Drones at mid rpm.
Quite light for an SS exhaust system, but resonator blew after 3 months of use. Biggest gain I've experienced on the EK but I suspect the BC3 is good as well. Other downsides included: cracked weld (common problem when exhausts use SS flanges due to heat expansion issues) that had to be repaired, Ver 1 had small flange diameter (a la Mugen)
* Spoon N1 w/ Spoon b-pipe / hot-dog resonator
Same characteristics except slightly higher pitch in VTEC
* BC3
Loud loud loud. Looks nice but B-pipe is known to crack.
DC2 Type R:
* Mugen Twin-loop cat-back
Near OEM noise level below VTEC, nice clean sound once engaged.
Neat construction, fitting the muffler was a bit of a PIA due to the coilovers fitted to the car (wheel would not droop enough once in the air), disappointingly heavy
* Spoon N1
See example for EK Civic
* Trust
Mild-steel b-pipe, quieter than Spoon but I also suspect that power gain is less.
S2000:
* Standard
One of the best thought-out OEM exhausts I've seen. Stick your head under an S2K and you will understand why aftermarket items make little gains
* Comptech
Known to cause a drop in power
* ARC full titanium cat-back (single outlet)
Nice purr at idle, bad bad drone on freeway driving, bassy tone
Neat welding, light (cat-back system weight 4.5kg) due to hollow muffler and resonator (no fibreglass), piping changes to a blue colour. One of the most expensive exhausts out there bar NSX items
* HKS twin outlet
Series 1 used mild-steel b-pipe and only SS muffler. Nuff said considering the price.
* A'PEXi N1 (universal turbo) with 2.5-inch cat-back piping
Loudest exhaust I've heard on an NA car. Unbearable at idle, mid throttle, and full throttle hehe

I now have my Magnaflow on the car. Its basically a 3" straight through muffler with 4" tip, a 3" straight through resonator, 3" high flow cat and 3" piping from dump pipe back (dump pipe is a twin design, 2.5" from back of turbo, and about a 1.5" pipe from the wastegate).
Sounds great, a nice deep growl to it but not loud. Very quiet when cruising, but still nice and big for good flow. Couldnt be happier with it :D
h22a accord, that seems like a nice setup you have there, any other info/pics?
nice write-up speedracr. appreciate that. :)
My Spoon N1 axleback and ITR b pipe arrives soon for my gsi. From what ive heard the spoon is an awesome sound!
has anyone had any experience with the Xforce full exhaust system from extractors back?
