sounds good let us know when you get more updates
haha yer damn cant wait for final results =D
In that well known article by hondata USA they said they only used 45 degrees of cam duration because anymore and you reduced clearances.
I since read up on k20a.org and some people say they prefer to shave off the extra 20 degrees from the standard 25 degree VTC mech; so there is a mechanical limit.
Do you, or your tuner, know what's a safe duration to run? If there's some sort of spike or glitch there will be no mechanical barrier to stop the dc5R cam gear from going the full 50 degrees right?
Stay tuned... Dyno Sheet should be in with my car tonight.... Hopefully!
*Once again, Thankie You Aaron for helping me drop the car at Ray's*
Can't wait...so exciting!!!
Sorry to disappoint you all...
Changed new software therefore I have nothing to show tonight......
So sad.... :(
Due to work committments, I haven't been able to do much... Sorry...
Skunk 2 Camshafts, Titanium Retainers, Valve Springs are in...
3 inch Metal cat is in....
Skunk2 Cat-Back is in......
RBC Manifold is in..............
My Euro dynoed stock was 103Kws
Now base tune is xxxxx kws (Dyno sheet coming soon)
Still got a few more ECUs to try.....
Now I have to swap out my DC Sports headers for something like Toda's or SSR as it's not flowing enough....
I can't remember who said to me that valve springs and retainers from the DC5R won't fit in the Euro... They are identical. We are now swapping my OEM K24 exhaust camshaft to the K20 as it has got more lift and then dyno testing it for results.
My target is to increase the power at the wheels by at least 45%-50% on N/A mods....
Im excited but unless you post that DYNO then i will have order a hit on you.
xxxxx kWs!!! 5 digit kW base tune!!!!!
