i saw arjays old car today on the st in the city....
im starting to mount my fmic now i just got to get a bracket and that
sounds good... how will you routing the intercooler piping ???
i have to relocate the batery and then go under the a/c compressor and hopefully the manifold wont hit on the thermo fan, it seems easy enough but i have to make a bracket to mount the cooler and i need time to get the manifold and what not on..
if anyone in perth has a b18a i can measure up and maybe trade off stuff with things ive modified that would b a huge help, i need to drill into the oil pan thats the only real problem im going to have, once the cooler is mounted.
i have a question wheres the fuel pump?
what specs are the fuel pump?
what specs r the injectors?
can i get some pics to? plz
im trying to collate all this information im getting and make a website up for others when im done for hints and tips and how tos.

That should answer a few of your questions, but basically for a simple turbo set up you won't need a new fuel pump, but you will need larger injectors.
Where are you going to route the piping after going under the compressor? most of the guys in the states drill a hole in the chassis rail to access the area where the washer bottle sits. I would recommend that you dont do this, if you got defected and they picked this up then your car could be off the road for a while getting the hole welded up again.

that seems like the easiest way with both pipes coming through the driver side.. but more piping = more lag

nah ill prob re route the washer bottle.... i want to run water/methonal injection aswell so i need to keep that bottle somewhere in the car.
I don't reckon the lag would be that bad, it only adds about a foot or two to the length of the piping. For the sake of cutting bits out of the car I reckon it is way better, another option I have seen is to cut through the radiator support and bring it through to the front before it goes past the A/C and P/S pumps, at least then you can replace the rad support.
yeh i had a upgraded cooler on my supra and it wasnt noticable when i was boosting the lag
i like this option better. It is shorter than the example above and using 2" piping on the hot side, it should negate the disadvantages of the slightly longer piping:Quote:
