I also am very sorry to dig this up again but is any one doing clutch changes soon, like in the next few weeks?
I'm wanting to change mine as it's almost dead, but not sure where to go and which one to use.... Every one in this thread seems to have such a wide range of views, it's quite hard to decide, and even harder after reading this thread!!! hahaha.....
I track mine some time but haven't modified too much so it's not that much power driven, but also would like some drivability on the stree as it's my daily drive.
What do you guys recommend for some one like me? Don't really want to fork out too much if I don't have to. Like I said it's not turboed or any thing.
Just a Apxi a/f piggy back to tune it up a little....
Your thoughts or advices would be very much appreciated.
Thank you all.... and have a great weekend.
just a exedy hd would be enough.
So if I get a Exdy heavy duty do I have to get the whole clutch kit?
Or just the clutch and a fly wheel if I need one?
I think I saw some one saying you can use the stock cover.
What component I need to get would be helpful.
Thanks,
I installed my EXEDY H/Duty clutch on the weekend. Downloaded a how to from S2KI and just followed the instructions............too easy! I skimmed the flywheel and re-used it, no sweat. The main issue here is time. It's just a time consuming job and shops charge accordingly I guess. I used the "engine tilt" method and just drop the engine subframe slightly while she was up on the hoist.

I guess the problem is people who are doing it them selves seems to be using a hoist... which I don't have... any one care to want to do mine for me??? :) I'll help of course!
:)
Anyway, need to get the kit first. Thanks for all your information....
I did mine with a jack and four jack stands... and it was a pain in the arse.
