I thought you said you don't want it because you don't know if you're going to install double din head unit? Maybe i heard from different person. Sorry andy.
Dan, u r a good man and thats fine......:mad::mad::mad::mad:
2din bracket will be on other project but will change the 1din unit later....... so the stuff will be removed * still crying*
p.s. just joking
Btw, any picture of OEM window visor from honda for 06-08 odyssey? My friend told me it's different from JDM one as our one is clear & not slim? I went to dealer but they don't have it in stock so they can't tell me.
So you have it on your car? Still waiting :)
Mine's the JDM one.... but I have seen the one that Honda sells here.... quite crap looking. The JDM material is much more solid and darker, it is not just taped to the window, it is also clipped on so that ppl can't just rip it off.
Dan - It's on its way to you, have fun installing and showing the completed pics.
Andy - You see not only me who thought you have no need for it.
How much did you pay for your one damien? Any pics?
Can't remember.... Got it 2.5 yrs ago. No clear pics of it, will have to take new one tonight
as promised and pm others you request

So the JDM one darker and cover the whole window. I saw one on the road after work & at daytime it's not as dark.
You sure? Still looks pretty dark to me

Just fitted the clock and i ignored the dim feature as well like yours damien. Too hard to find the cable. Took pictures with phone so not a good one. Will try to take photos using digital camera tomorrow.

bagus tuh interiornya adem adem :)
dope!
Looking good Dan. Yeh, the dimming trigger wire seems to be -ve triggered, while most of the car's functions is +ve triggered. Mechanic was telling me that he would have had to wire to the fuse box which required taking out the entire dash just to lay the wire. Take my hat off to you for wiring it up yourself.
You can actually hook it to the one of the cable from the two plugs behind the panel. I just couldn't be bothered to find it last night. Maybe next time when i have more time.
i cry again this am........
more info about your in car DVD pls Dan....
Which one? The head unit? headrest? or roof mount monitor?
Just for u :) http://www.youtube.com/watch#v=tm7Gr...eature=related
Hi there, How did you install the 2nd row DVD headrest? I managed to remove the front row seat back panel to install the cables but not sure how get the cable inside the 2nd row seat.
I bought 2 sets of DVD headrest from Jakarta. Didn't want to modify my original front unit so decided to buy the unit with built in DVD player.
Thx in advance.:):)
The headrest on the 2nd row hasn't been connected yet. I had the same problem to get the cable out from the seat so i will ask audio workshop to get it done for me next weekend.
I bought the kit from my friend and he bought it from japan through motorware. Are you in WA? You can get the replica from Inspire in Jakarta if you want.
New owner seems to be a chinese dude. I don't think he needs the front to be lower, cos when I saw it, it was already very very low. He looked as if he had problems going down to a basement carpark which was wierd cos I thought he was on some sort of air suspension on the car..
That car has AirLift air suspension. I think the rims is not iForged anymore.
yep, iforged is gone, but the Ody still looked pretty good.. Wife was asking why ours didn't look like that even after all the money spent........ Not to mention she thinks the purple is a nicer colour... There is no winning to the argument
Purple is the good colour if you don't want black. I also like the carbon bronze colour.
Dan, your car looks AWESOME my friend . . .
BTW the trigger on Honda its never -ve always +ve, and its bullshit if your Mechanic need to go to the Fuse box just to get a trigger for interior, are you sure he knows what he is doing ?
even if the trigger is -ve you still can use a relay to make it +ve, or maybe he just want to charge you extra $$$
Thanks Laski, btw do you know which one is the cable for the radio? I couldn't find it and do we need to use the radio adapter? Cause i bought one like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Metra-40-hd10-ho...item20ac4248e9
Laski, I think u were responding to my comments. If you read my post, I did say that most of the wires around the area were positive triggers, but the clock required a negavive one to dim when the headlights comes on. And instead of stripping all the bundles to find one, it would be easier just to grab the signal from the fuse box.
I have no doubt that you are technically inclined due to the nature of your work, but I'm pretty sure my mechanic is not out to screw me over as well.
Thanks for the input on the switch, I'll bring it up when I see him later.
the door switch is definitely -ve trigger but not the illuminations lights on the radio
I can't remember but it should be behind where the CD player, yes you need the antenna adaptor and thats the right one
thats easy just tell your mech to use a relay on the illuminations cable on the radio to make it a -ve trigger, no need to find one from the fuse box
is it definitely necessary of antenna adaptor if changing the headunit?
^^ tks, learn something new today :)
nice dan... cant wait till you put some "tssst tssst"
iv tried not to comment, but every time i see the pic of the roof screen it just looks yuck, install doesnt look up to par at all.... and the rest of the cars is soo good!
lol really? imo its not yuck at all
tried = failed attemp, if i didnt comment it means i wouldnt of tried not to, but i did so that means i tried and didnt succeed in not commenting, know what i mean,
doesnt look like its sittin flush with the roof at the front, like its hanging down a bit
I know it's not flushed as I need to change the screw and tighten it more. It's still in progress and not done plus odyssey's roof is curvy not straight.
just need the air suspension to makes all complete :D
He is waiting for the Boss's approval! hehe lol
Correct!! Although i already have the pre-approval, just need to wait for other thing hehe
oh, u r a lucky husband and father.....
can't wait for the DIY night boss.
I'll bring my slave as well. LOL:p
haha thanks kit, btw could you send the photo of my boot setup to my email?
sending boss..
Of course, we'll do a group DIY, both of you are DIY king plus stig too hehe
I DIY cos im poor LOL
Hey Dan, do you remember the wire color code for the front and rear speakers on RB1?
I can't remember because it's my friend who did it but i can ask for you this weekend as i'm going to audio workshop.
Hi djinsta, welcome on to the Odyssey family here. show us yr ride on a new thread and which coilover yr RB1 on now?
haha ty, didnt really know there was a odyssey family. always with the 350z "family"..odc is my daily to uni so thats prob why its been spotted so much. trying to rack up the kms now only bout 20+k Kms. running on "Standard" STD's coilovers..yes i know it sounds stupid. lol
djinsta welcome to OzHonda. Have to say your ride is pretty cool and pertty low.
Saw your ride at Dragon Palace in Northbridge sometime ago dropping ppl off for dinner (some older looking folks, your parents I think?).
What's STD coilovers??? I have heard of Xcess even XYZ, but never heard of STD's except when it is used in the medical terms
hahas i noe, thats what everyone seys. but o wels, if u google it, it kinda blueish with yellow spring. yeps that was quite a while back attending a company dinner there with parents.
Nice, why you didn't buy the car with the airlift? Does it still have the curtain?
i did have the airlift in there, but i didnt ride like my coilovers, so i changed them to coilovers. curtains still there.
Did you sale the airlift?
nah still at home, with everything boxed ecept the bottom rear plate which is still welded to my cars rear arms. other than that all there
Ah...that's the part that modified to get the car lower even more right?
Buy them off him Dan, and swap your rear arms for his in the package ;)
