respect man thats a mint setup...
how much is the 'spoon' ecu??? because u can get a e-manage or similar for fairly cheap
i dont like those bolt on aftermarket ecus etc. depending on the type though because every engine is different and thats why u have a ecu and for example headers when u change them the ecu adjusts its settings for the headers so making it run richer wiont give u more power... and a higher rev limit on ur car wont help u either because its not designed to rev harder
u can spend that money on better mods and its only really when u do cams (even still u dont usually have to change em theres ways around) or injectors or nitrous or something u know....
ive seen a 1jz-gte mines tuned ecu and it was just taped on the side and stamped that mines had tampered with it it was better removed fuel cut, rev limit, speed limit etc. thats the only real reason y i would change it
yeh i know what ur saying i agree i hate doing the same thing u wish u had just a little more so it didnt bog down... it sounds silly but its only for a half second or something and it does help
yeah...specially when u r in the momentum of fly through the corner...as u clip the apex u want to power out...then...rev limit kick in.....
Hi guys,
Was wondering if anyone had done DA9 chassis strengthening? Like spot weld or front lower brace (also known as lower tie bar i assume?) Any brands for this?
How about strut bar? I've been looking for one but to no avail... Those that i found are adjustable ones which would be of much help... anyone here can recommend me?!
Thanks!
someone ask this question a while back...
for front lower tie u can use cusco for EF, as for the rear i saw some on skunk2 web site..
strut bar cusco has one for the front, jdmyard has them,
for the rear...some of the dc2 or eg would fit...
I'm planning on getting a tint on my gunmetal grey integra
I'm thinking maybe a 5% tint would be nice. Has anyone done this? Hows the driving visibility?
i got 21 and thats not legal but it looks mint i rekon dark tint looks good on da9s having said that its not really that bad with visibility... FARK thats dark i only just relieased
:P
The DA9 chassis is a big floppy dick in the scheme of things. You need more than bolt in bars to harden it up.
I lowered the front of my chassis onto jack stands the other day. The front cross member dropped approximately 5mm further, after the stands had taken weight of the car - that is lowering slowly under the static weight of the car! Imagine how much it will flex when I stand on the brakes off the main straight at 170kph!
