importing the typeR front bumper, grill, mesh, front red badge from japan (genuine rather than my replica)... arriving in 9-10 days time... i have a feelin that the grill is in chrome and not originally stripped for it to be sprayed black instead

i remember reading somewhere that the spoon FD2R version used the base model FD1 as their chassis for development
but IMO, think a FD1 is easier to mod compared to FD2 which has a different engine base and more interior assec

there's only 10kw-ish difference between the k20z2 and the r18a.. also bare in mind fd2 is 100kg heavier than fd1 due to luxuries + engine weight..
so which one's faster?
103 kW + 1180 kg = 87 kw/tonne
114 kW + 1260 kg = 90 kW/tonne
Looks like the FD2's faster - it probs has better suspensions etc. as well.

haha true that.. I dragged both my FD1/FD2.. 2 outta 3 times my FD1 reaches the speed limit a tad faster.. this could be other factors such as DBW lag, my weight.. I'm big and heavy.. yadda yadda.. both auto cars.. teehee..

I think you need a 35mm festoon.

yea thats how it is. but with the mugen lip kit on. the front plastic piece won't come out, without like ripping the mugen lip out.. well thats what it seemed like was gonna happen when i tried lol. So had to detach the front bumper a bit on the left side. For the right side you can go from the under carriage, just undo the clips.
I was just looking for an easier way, I'll try the fenders as Stig said next time. Tim i gotta change my fogs soon so maybe we'll meet up and try figure it out?

so yeah.. pretty pissed off that i scraped the side of my car pretty bad against my fence post when i was coming home tonight. went into the driveway at a too acute angle, i guess and now my right rear door is all scratched and the right rear quarter panel. gonna cost me a pretty penny. gonna have to use up money i had saved for coils and probly more to get it resprayed >.<

there are 2 sizes.. there's the replica red H badge for the fd1 and the genuine fd2r badges. these are slightly smaller than the replicas. u can still fit the genuine ones onto ur fd grille. the difference isnt that great (unless ur extremely anal).
