Thanks for the info RenzokukenJ! I really don't know, hence my question.
That's interesting to hear. Sure makes you jealous of those Evo X chaps with their super-wide tyres, oh well. :)

I know, makes wheel selection a shitty process too!
Hi guys, just wondering if I you can fit 8th gen accord euro 18 inch wheels to a fd Civic. Is it the same offset etc anyone tried it

anyone?:o
The standard 17s on my civic are 17 by 17 with 45 offset
The fd2 type r runs 18 by 7.5 60 offset for reference
The Euro wheels I want to run are 18 by 8 55 offset
iirc you'll run into problems if you're running coilovers.
What about fn2 rims? Srs might look ok
I wanted to go with the euro wheels as they are similar style to whats on it just bigger. That polished face alloy look.
Im just running standard suspension no coil overs. Thanks for the help guys
Hey all quick question, will running 18's x 8.5 +26 with 225/40/18 all around on a FD1 be a problem if i drop my cars 1.5" on coils?
Trying to avoid camber and guard adjustments.
Cheers

Figure out how much you can drop your car after the wheels are on
I'm thinking of factory GTR R32 wheels, 16x8+30, with 225/50R16.
On an EP3, stock height, -2' camber all round.
Anyone tried this before?
That's 15mm less than the stock offset for EP3, right?
One thing I didn't consider before running 225/50s on 16x8 is that it creates *heaps* of slop in the steering. I ran the FD RX7 wheels on a FN2, they are +50 offset and fit nicely compared to the stock 18x7.5 +55 offset. I think they are the same weight as R32 GTR wheels, also 7 kg.
Now running 225/45 17 +50 (also from FD RX7 :P ) on 17x8.5 on the fronts and the steering response is so much better, it's a night and day difference. :)
However, I am tempted (but not confident) if 245/40 17 will fit on those 17x8.5 fronts :) . Don't really want to run 235/45 17 as the sidewall is a nearly as tall as the 225/50 16, and it will increase the gearing (whereas my crappy FN2 needs all the help it can get from gearing, unlike your EP3 rocket!).
If you have pretty stiff suspension and run stiff tyres on your EP3, you should be happy enough with the steering response on 16x8 I think. :)
Thanks for that. I didn't end up going for GTR wheels. I went for another popular OEM choice... The Evo 8 Enkeis! 17x8+38 perfectly flush on A EP3 with -2' camber all round. On a 235/45/17 Achilles ATR Sport tire, the guards need to be rolled. Still rubs occasionally.
I have an awaiting set of CE28 in the same specs. I think I'll go for a 235/40/17 on those.
