well if you are just running a driver side bride, and oem passenger seat, there is a way to bypass it :)
i got driver and passenger.. haha
i dislike the only one bucket look. makes the car look pov and like i couldnt afford the second seat haha :P yes im vain.
can u tell me about this bypass thing =]
chuck a resistor into the airbag connection for drivers side (only works if the oem passenger seat is in place), think it was a 5ohm 5watt resistor but i forgot
I also wanted to buy sports seats but the airbags have been a pain..however i read on the singapore civic forum that you might be able to buy a sensor diffuser so that the airbag light will not light up
I m not sure how to install the diffuser and hence i gaf up the idea..
SO even i lose the stock seats with side airbag's, would the steering airbag/passenger side airbag deploy if the driver and passenger sensor is missing?
no lol, hence the airbag light is on
if you replace the drivers seat, and use a resistor in place of the drivers side airbag connector, when you crash, the front steering wheel, passengers front and passenger side air bag will deploy which is super
if you replace the drivers seat and the passenger seat, that resistor trick does not work since there is another extra cable for the passenger seat which no one has figured out. and if you crash, no airbags will deploy.
go ask honda for a passenger seat sensor. buy it and just place it under the seat. technically it should work
ill make it work.
might set you back an arm and leg though
stig thought i told you that that second cable was the sensor? unless you can find the specs of the sensor then find a resistor to match the power voltage
