its hard to ignore 14 pm's
if i wasn't supporter, it would be half my inbox....
so what happens if you get a negative rep from someone which you feel is not fair, nor relevant... before anyone says anything, i have pm'd two mods about it...
can i have an explanation as to why you came to that decision? i dont really give a shit about rep points but the stupid dried up old **** that gave it to me has something against me, so i don't see why i should cop it neg rep for expressing something in my own way... it was not irrelevant, it was not off topic and it was not spam... why neg rep?
fair enough, and i appreciate your help Aaronng... but a mistake or a typo can constitute false information for someone who doesnt know what they are talking about... even then, it's not deserving of a neg rep point...
in my own opinion, my post was one that was worded in, yes, an unusual way, but it certainly wasnt off topic because i did go into explaining the relevance to drag racing... and it wasnt spam because i wasnt ranting about off topic bullshit.
To me, even having this thread is a waste of space and time, the rules around this rep point business are worthless if they arent policed properly... if you yourself are saying you have been neg repped for something as stupid as a typo, then the whole thing is just bullshit really...
how could the admins give an infraction for people who rep positively for things that are irrelevant, then not do the same thing for people who negatively rep innapropriately...
anyway, just my 2c...
Yeah. But infractions for abusing rep is more for stopping people from repping spam or in the non technical sections, or giving negative rep as revenge. Don't worry anyway, you can lose 1-4 points for a neg rep, but you gain positive rep much quicker as it depends on the number of rep that the person who is repping you has. For example, each rep I give out counts for 15, so you'll gain back the loss very quickly.
