lol engee ur car looks nice! always wondered what our car would look like with dc5s wheels.. i'll park next to u when we meet. dc5s+r wheels on fd to trip people out haha
btw - anyone got tips on how to remember which cables go where so that when u pull the handle on the inside the door opens? Need to know so when i change my door trims people will still be able to get in and out of the back haha. When the guy doing my window tints did it he stuffed up first time putting it back together (lucky he checked before he left!!!) but after changing them around it worked
gonna put the new material on but i wont glue it yet and see what it looks like haha then change it around til i find something i like more. examsss 2 more weeks chyeaa
Do any of you guys know whats the minimum offset to fit a FD with a 17x8 rim?
i seem to remember yonas from JDMyard telling me rays recommend 18x8 +43 with a coilover set up which is stifffffff... so ya.! you can make your assumption.
the rims i was looking at was his RE30's in the 17's gloss black..
but still you cant really ask a question like that because..
what tire size are you going to use?
what tire brand are you going to use?
how low do you intend to go?
have you had any work done to your body?
are you on coilovers or stock shocks with springs?? etc..
Ok end up getting Work Emotion Cr
Staggered so therefore 17x7.5 30+ offset and there 17x8.5 33+ offset
7.5 with 215/45/17 Toyo Proxe4 tyres and 8.5 with 225/45/17 Dunlop Direzza RZ101 tyres, of course stretched.
Hopefully get the tyres on tomorrow will post a pic how it goes ;P
All four on Tein S Tech Springs
that's fairly low offset for an fd. gonna need to work the guards a bit n get some camber if ur just gonna drop them on springs. 45 profile is pretty fat too. gonna look tuff when lowered. make sure to post them pics!
8.5 +33 will barely fit i believe? it will stick out of guards for sure i think, but u cud prob fix it with camber and guard work as aero said.
i had some 8.5" wheels with +35 and it was giving me headaches with the rubbing.. especially with a full load. it was a little better when i got the offset machined up to +38 but pretty bad with adults in the back and taking sharp corners... i didnt want to spend so much money to improve it even more so i sold them.
got a 19x9+38 in the rear yo... no passengers ftw! or even hard to moderate cornering... can fix it by raising the rear but nah... people have cars, they can drive themselves, im no taxi

Slight rubbing on deep bumps besides that fine to drive on though having agressive offset its all that counts. Camber arms will be changed on future

looks nice, but i thought with those kind of offsets they would look a little bit more concave.
