when you guys put your new intake system in CAI or SRI, did your malfunction lamp light come on? How do you fix it? it just came on today instead of straight away when i drove home yesterday from the mechanic.
do i have to reset the ECU or disconnect the battery or something?
if i have to reset the ECU how do i do that?

yup!ur in a biggie mate...just reset ur ecu by disconnecting ur battery for about 10 minutes,and hopefully it wont come out again!but if it does comes on again!the intake does not suit the car and u need to get a new one

I'm pretty sure FD's have a maf sensor... Mine's on the airbox (i have an R18 though)

the distance between the maf sensor and the throttle body has to be roughly the same as original
i dunno i took it to Vision R and the guy said it isn't a MAF sensor because of something different.
well i looked up google:
"When a MAF is used in conjunction with an oxygen sensor, the engine's air/fuel ratio can be controlled very accurately. The MAF sensor provides the open-loop predicted air flow information (the measured air flow) to the ECU, and the oxygen sensor provides closed-loop feedback in order to make minor corrections to the predicted air mass"
I think mine is only an air(O2) sensor because he said a MAF sensor i wouldn't need to worry about putting the sensor back on the intake. Also looking at FD2Rs intake system there isn't a sensor where ours is and you can't see the sensor anywhere on the pipe. Cause i was wondering where to put the sensor when i looked at the GruppeM diagram of the FD2R. Unless its somewhere hidden. maybe ask that guy that's moving this FD2R over here haha.

K20z2/3/4 all use MAF sensor, the reason you are getting a CEL because you've removed it from the air stream, now the engine doesn't know how much air is going into the cylinders and therefore does not know how much fuel to pump in. The ECU is smart enough to go into a limp mode when the MAF reading doesn't make sense. So either find a way to put the MAF into the pipe, in which case it still might not run as well cause its very sensitive (atleast no CEL?) or find an intake that has a mounting hole for the MAF. The MAF sensor housing also houses the Intake Air Temp sensor, so that needs to be in the air stream too.Quote:

BTW: does anyone know how to reverse the pos/neg terminal inside an LED bulb? I've got LED H11 foglight bulbs from ebay, but the terminals seem to be reverse of what the foglight socket needs - any ideas of what i can do to reverse it? Bugging me now hahah =/

Old coilovers are siezed and one shock is blown so thought id upgrade!
Btw does anyone want a set of second hand BC coilovers? haha Probably let them go for 200, but you will need to get the shock rebuilt if you can find anywhere to do it lol. Or alternatley just order one replacement shock body lol.
