Ah, I didn't realise this "ZEX" camshaft was Bisimoto's
I already emailed Andy weeks ago to discuss my $15,000 B20VTEC build, using all Bisimoto head internals :D booyah

ay guys if i was to swap a d16y4 head for a y8 head would it make much difference in power
Y8 is a better head I believe, but I don't think you'd notice a big difference
Y8 and Z6 intake manifolds are better
^^^ and cheap
bored in the winter is the main reason lol ^^^
been reading up on changing over my oil pump to the larger one offered on the other d engines (getting closer to the 300xxx service, may as well whilst I'm there) anyone bothered in the past on the d16y8?
haha yeah true!
So I'm guessing the bigger oil pump will help to move the oil around the engine better and being an older engine, that's a good thing?
Have U seen this one:

n00b question FTW!
Answer:
Better flow and oil pressure, for the bearings and with turbo builds you loose about 10psi of oil pressure because of the turbo. (Its especially important to do this on Y8 oil pumps)."

on the turbo d's people over there buy oil pumps with a set psi in mind, were talking big power builds over 400hp though, read thro one guys thread on there for ages last week, my gosh soo much info
Yeah this is just or turbo purposes aye?
Sounds like the y8 oil pump is a known badie.
Have U got a link to that thread U talk of?
:)
i think its the y series oil pimp in general thats regarded as bad. people port and shim thier oil pumps for turbo or high comp n/a
Excellent,I don't need to do it then :)
Thanks mate.
