If my Fujita fails, this is my home-made mod (similar to x-intake as seen on 8thcivic):

Option Racing coupler, TFI adapter and Apexi pod ~ $50 bucks!
To fit it I'll remove the airbox lid and mount it right after the AFM like so...

And then if I can be bothered I'll fabricate an MM style intake to draw air from the foglight vent.

if the cops pull you over with that they could fine you or warn you right?
I saw my cousin's EP3R had a mugen intake box that looked really good (professionally done) and theres no exposed pod.
Anything like that available to FDs? (other than the actual mugen one of course)

Yeah there's heaps of aftermarket intakes that will fit...just the matter of whether they'll throw a CEL or not. Check out the intake thread on 8thcivic.com
If I do get pulled over I'll revert to standard or try a cold air intake.

they do, just depends if the cop hates u enough, needs enough money, or is smrt enough to look down that low for the open pod haha.

In that case seems like its best to go with the mugen intake

Cops don't get paid more for handing out fines and I've been pulled over with CAI's with my other cars: no problem.

yeah but some people hve been pulled over for CAI and got defected, depends what state though

its really a hit and miss, you either mod or you dont and if you do mod you are willing to accept the consequences
