i really like that last one. looks like pro designer drawing.
that yellow fd2r chop u did. is it doing a burnout without a driver??
yes it's driverless. Magic. I'll photoshop a stick-man in there lol.
The last image is surreal looking HDR image. I like the surrealness of the whole HDR thing... although that's not really what it was intended for.
that could mean one thing...a RC FD2R XD
i like the first one, look so real!
LOL!
yea man first one is a good job hahaha. i didn't notice til tim pointed it out LOL. fark.. must be blind =.=
ideally i'd like the first pic to b real...
less sunken-in, bigger VTi-L rims wud b sex...
it actually looks really nice in the bigger VTI-L rims
yo any one no where i can get the mugen rr replica kit or even just the front bar.. checked ebay but that was way over priced
its early days for mugen rr kit.
so its always gonna be $$$$
i cant say personally ive looked for the rr kit, but yes ebay is a good indicator to how much it might cost.
i think there are people who have looked into importing them personally from a shop oversea's.
not sure.. you'll get an answer from other soon tho.
AEIMPEX is selling RR kit for SGD$1800
RR Advance kit SGD$2000
that is what i've found out but shipping to here is another story
best not go into the RR kits unless you know have someone that is really experience to fit it.
i was told by AEIMPEX that some of his workshop guys in s'pore and m'sia took 3 hours to fit, some took 3 days. with high labour charge here its gonna cost abit to fit. this is just what i'm assuming
here we go...
the RR again lol XD
liquid have done so much research on it, he could answer just any questions =]
btw, you could try send SUS2K a pm, he should be one of the very few members (maybe the only one) in this forum to have own a set of the RR kit
lol yeah i guess i could tell u all about it...
SUS2K said he was gonna try and fit it with this mates. will be awhile before we see anything
^ sounds like an expensive project :( Good luck with it!
on another note, skunk2 pro-c's are in :) WOW the difference is FKIN AMAZING. going to go for an allignment tomorrow, camber, right height, toe and castor to be fiddled with :)
Just would like to mention vs the BC that I had previously (not buddy club) the tracking of the wheels is much better suited to Perth roads, the piston size is freaking huge, comes with camber tops and pillow balls, now all i need to do is get the driver ballsy enough to break some pbs :)
would you agree with the "cheap and nasty" quote now?
thats good news rk,
im installing my Tanabes in 2night hopefully
dez: haha cheap but not thaaaaat nasty. Having said that i wouldnt go back to a set unless i was strapped for cash haha.
timmy: you got rid of the d2s? :) nice one1
sussy shop fixed it and i sold it to my mate
will this fit civic sport rims?
mugen wheel nuts..
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3308/...c92af7800b.jpg
thanks
i cant see why not, arent the stockies the same just in chrome?
ej20i . yes thats what im thingking but i asked jdmyard they says it wouldnt fit on a OEM Honda Rims...
ahhh, yes i can see it now, it has wedge bottom while OEM nuts and wheels have flat bottom
my first mod......08 sport rims..
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y35.../DSC_4680b.jpg
looks good, now you'll need to lower the car :)
that's some pro photoshop skills curtis!
nice one curtis.....thanks...hmmm 17" looks small when you drop it..
Honesly, I think 17's are fine.
As soon as u get aftermarket it looks like ur car's on a liftkit... for some reason
After being away for a while... it's great to see this thread still going strong :)
has anyone found or got a DIY install coilovers for fd1? and how much would it cost if i take it to a mechanics to install?
not that hard to DIY, just undo a few bolts and redo them.. just gotta know what your looking for.. wouldn't recommend it if its your first time on the fd. heaps of people run into trouble with bits not lining up again and not having enuf tools to correct this problem.
a trained mechanic will be able to do it faster and also your warranty on the coil overs will still stand if its done at a shop. shops will charge between $100 - $250 for install.. <- recommend you do it this way. it might save your life.
yup, its the second time im doing my coils and guess what? i effed up again on the cv boot! AGAIN!!!!!
the cv boot is a pos, pissed me off so much
DIY ftl lol...
where do you guys having your seat leather covered?
like this? lol
http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u...3/IMG_1840.jpg
^^ LOL...is that paper seat cover? hahahaha
looks alright but your seat belt straps and other panels dont have the same theme...
i have black pleather material still for the door trims, just had no time to do them yet. i was even thinking of getting a whole new set with different colour.. perhaps tan? =\
im noob, i googled coilovers to see what they are, but couldnt find much except they part of the macpherson struts or something haha. if you paid this $250 what benefits do you get to the current suspension on the car?
and for the lowering discussion few pages back, this was my car on a drive the other week, bit messy after heavy rain etc though but gives an indication of what the back is like lowered, it was because of heavy load of course haha.
we were stuck in traffic on this random remote highway, accident, got out to take pictures of traffic and noticed my car was hell low with everyone in the back. it didnt seem to scrape at all which was good.
http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p...1020091065.jpg
Hi guys... is this safe? makes the car sound good :D It disconnects the resonator only..
so long as you have some sort of filter covering the area where air goes in shouldnt be too much of a problem? unless something goes into your engine haha! or it fcuks up your air/fuel ratio? seems to be problem when people put intakes on their r18 but you just reset ecu and it fixes itself i think
$250 gives you a professionally trained installer.
warranty on your coilovers provided they are brand new will still remain as a backyard job is considered dodgy.
ride height will be set by them. they can balance your car out as well.. you will notice that the right of your car is lower then the left on the rear.
the most important one for me was piece of mind. i know i can trust my mechanic cos he does a very decent job for me every time.
any sydney FD meet coming??
first you'll need to buy urself a set of coilovers. for our FD civics, they will look something like this:
http://www.wesellcarparts.com/store/...oC-06Civic.jpg
and then you will need to install them on ur car by replacing ur stock shocks and springs with ur coilovers. you can attempt to do this urself and there are some articles on 8thgen.com which gives u steps on how to install coilovers on the new civics or you can get them installed professionally at nearly any auto mechanic.
new rims. here you go Ivan lol
got dish =]

Throttle feels slightly mroe responsive and produces a much deeper sound.
I've disconected the flexi pipe thing from the airbox yes. Can be done in about 1 minute.
I dont know about the FD2 cos ur engine's completely different.
Has anyone changed the battery tiedown? Mine's gone brittle for some reason and beginnin to crack.
are u serious?
i was thinking of powder coating it to white
anyone?
tim r u powder coating the battery tie-down? or ur rims? LOL
btw - i just ordered my carbon grille WOOOOOOOOOOOO! should arrive in a week =].

:D:D:D
oh get a JDM R18 engine cover too
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...mageFromDB.jpg
much nicer than stock
wow those are cool, im sure u could make one urself - fully custom yo hahah
Yeh but then i'd need some sheet aluminium about 5mm thick, cut it nicely, drill it nicely, paint it/decorate it nicely...
I like the shocker... and i just realised it has a massive supercharger on it.. i'm a bit preoccupied by my assignment and battery tie downs atm lol
curtis, lets do a group order of the shocker and the jdm engine cover yo!
i quite like that
i'll take a photo of my white engine 2moro
i know one member from here has that JDM cover on his FD
looks very nice.
yea, DMX...but hes long gone!
LOL!
nah its Denny, you remember him?
To curtis, get the filter on that pipe ASAP! If u get something solid in there ur screwed big time! Its ok to have the pipe out like that just get the filter on. If you plan on keeping it like that you may as well should remove the resonator box as its in the way and point the hose with the filter down
I vote tim =]
He bludges at work =P
funny, coz thats true n im at work now!
EOI cruise, for FD only...when and where?
what day will be suitable for u guys and where would u like to go?
BBQ perhaps?
saw a civic with dc5 rims yesterday night at avondale macca's.. with a few other eg's..remembered someone posting a pic of there car with the same rims.. not bad with the dc5 rims.. =).. good work..
