Hmmm, can;t wait to get back to Wakefield.... Should easily reel off some 16s....
And Dnation - 25mm front Stab bar on a civic is fine - but I'd be talking about my rear bar, not my front...... front won't make a lickin' difference if there is no rear bar....
you dont really need straight line speed, especially for a slow small track like wakefield.. what i've noticed from driving is the whole track has linking corners..
what i tend to do is come full throttle through the first little kink trying to keep the car in the straightest possible line.. this means i clip the inside on the track on the straight.
once i pass that kink on the straight, i feel its the best place to brake in a straight line. i wash off as much speed as i can for the first corner, and keep the tightest possible line as i could (the first corner has a large run off, and alot of ppl tend to use the whole track). i only really use half of the road, this in turn sets me up for a better line into the second corner and run up into the hill... sure i might lose that initial speed up but it reflects better on the times.
i also try not stepping onto the ripple strips as the car tends to lose balance and speed.
the 1st corner is actually a bit difficult for me
even tho im quite used to the track
i still overspeed the 1st corner sometimes
which screws up my corner
which pretty much says bye a a good lap time
can people post up more stratgies for wakefield

Are you talking about the kink after the mainstraight? You shouldn't be breaking at that kink because it will upset you for the big right hander ahead.Quote:
