Apparently the evo ix body - compared to the base lancer model - is stiffened with an extra 200 spot welds. So I was told on a test drive. So in terms of rigidity it is no comparison.

wow, so it has 200 more welds, still same chassis. because, the exact design of the chassis, is unchanged.

just because I change a strut tower bar on my car doesn't mean that I've changed my chassis now does it?

The evo came to picture because I am looking at getting either another euro or an evo (read my first post!).


As for it being a riced up lancer, WHO CARES? It is the best performance car under $100k period.
