Civic 06 prices .. anyone already put a deposit or buy one?

We bought a mazda3 over a civic, only because mazda offered better trade in and my wife likes the look more. Comparing base to base model though, i think civic is a better buy, though it also depends on which dealer is more willing to give discount. The updated 3 now is better value with a few extras.
I think the 3 may have better road holding and a sportier drive, but very nosiy front suspension, the 4 speed auto is not the best, and the fuel consumption could be better for a small car. The Civic on the other hand rides smmothly, has good interior space, good fuel consumption, but too soft/not sporty/youthful as it once was, limited and boring colour choices, and the paint does not have the lustre of others, eg euro. Just what i think.

Civic all the way :).. nothing beat's the brand name of Honda..

=) im just after is250's opinion coz he seems to know quite alot about the 3 and likes them but still opt for the civic.. just wonder y..

as im thinking of getting one in the future

all this civic talk - when are we going to have a civic meet? : )

LOL i'll bring me civic as well :).. where would the meet be though?

Have you seen how many Mazda3s are out there lol. No seriously, my mind isn't made up yet but I'm leaning towards the Civic because it's newer, has much better fuel economy, better interior and the 3 did seem a bit noisy and less refined (should be better with the facelift).

But I change my mind every couple of weeks so it doesn't matter. Last month I was set on getting a Mazda6, before that it was a VW Jetta, before that it was an Accord Euro and before that it was a Skyline V35. Now it's the Civic. I don't plan on getting a car till the end of the year at the earliest so my decision will probably change again lol.

dealer update said its in aus. but donno when it will arrive in syd. so now waiting. ~~~

I saw a black VTi on the road yesterday, it looks so sweet I considered calling my dealer and seeing if I could switch colours (from silver moss) but then common sense kicked in and I remember how much I hate washing and polishing every week.

EDIT: 10 days until my car arrives at the dealer!

yeh if we could pick again we'd go for silver.
