If you have the luxury model with stock HIDs then all you have to do is switch globes to 6000k. I did that.
thanks nxn75u!!!! so can just get a set of 6000k HID globe from eBay/Dealextreme I guess. Thought the factory set up may be different to aftermarket ballst kits.
Yup just dont forget that the bulb type is D2S... glad that helps:wave:
hey nice car Simon! i still dont have any regrets getting CBP. Except when a bird sh*ts on it .. hahaha
yeah, i thought i had a feeling Paul from bodykitskingdom was gonna start doing the same thing as JSPEC are doing, but that is a benefit for us anyway, none of these overseas hassles and doubts for the mugen replica kit!
thanks tony! and yes P PLATERS PRIDE LOL! Looking forward to seeing your stock euro, for now we can be stocky brothers haha!
thanks andrew, but like i said above, it's nothing compared to your baby girl (or maybe it's a boy :S) it looks like a piece of dust LOL! and yes Crystal Black Pearl = no regrets, but my one looks a tad dodgey now (posted the story in another thread) but i'll post it here anyway.
After thinking that "paint protection", that came with dealership package, would protect my paint from literally everything, i decided to go to a "wash it yourself" car wash place, following the "recommended steps" i used their "foam brush" which literally looked like a floor broom with soap coming out of it, after i dried the poor thing off, in the sunlight i noticed visible ugly brush strokes scratched into the paint, after asking many friends about this, they all told me i was stupid :( ... and told me to use a sponge next time.
If anyone knows if this is fix-able, then hit us up please!
Are you more interested in the Mugen than Type S kit? If so I'll try get a hold of them and try them on my car, shoot some photos and post :) Really depends on how "popular" it will be (to get stock in etc).
As for the photos of my stock euro, I'll try find some time either this week or after next week (bloody assessments due all week long next week =[)
I'm not too sure, I've washed my mate's car at a "self wash place" called Freedom in Brissie and the foam brush they had there was pretty "car-friendly" from what I remember. But as for the scratches I'm not too sure, how bad are they? Have you tried waxing it etc? I know there is a product that fixes scratches (not 100% sure though, just heard of it). Personally, I use a chamois to wash my car and then micro fibre cloths to dry the car body.
PM'd you back mate :) H1 for base model, not D2S :)
Hope all that helped :D
yeah i use a chamois to dry my car, but i'm pretty sure it was the foam brush that scratched it, cos it wasn't there before i washed it :(
and yes, it is pretty bad, only in sunlight, looks like someone got a fork and ran around scratching it, but when clouds cover the sun, all is gone
it's noticeable on my bonnet which is the sexiest part of the CU2 :(
Just to confirm what you meant by stock HID?
If you already have the after-market HID kit( Ballast, wirings, bulbs), then you just have to replace the bulbs with 6000K H1 bulbs.
If your car is is still using the standard bulb, the options available are:
1) You can get an after-market HID set kit which comes with the bulbs of desired temperature/color, wirings, and ballast. this will give you maximum brightness, but note that if you leveled you headlight wrongly, you might blind the oncoming traffics. Also if you are looking at quality HIDs, the prices might set us back.
2) You can also just replace the stock halogen bulbs with higher temperature/kelvin halogen bulb. From previous experience, this options does not give you much visibility, especially in the rain. I used to have 4300k halogen bulbs running on my FD, and visibility was minimum in rainy days.
The standard euros are using H1 and lux ones are D2S for low beams. Please confirm if this is the case. Netjester has done it in the previous thread where he replaced his car with 6000k.

Ah that's too bad then. I just use the chamois to wash the car and wipe away "excess" water and completely dry the car with micro-fibre cloths. Worked like a charm so far.
As for those scratches try going to this thread: http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...Detailing-Tips. And see if any of that helps :D
hahaha... youre very fast! i was just editing my post and i got notifications already! hahaa.. Yup its H1 for low beams...
