There's no quality on the market in VIC and i have had a few issues dealing with interstate. Given I need something relatively quick I think I am going to go for something different.
I was contemplating a Golf R32 possibly even a 1series BMW if I can get one for a decent price. What do you guys think? Is there anything else worth buying for 25-35k
Since you were looking at an s2k I assume the roadster nature appeals. If so 25-35 is easy Z4/ boxter s money.
Though if you're willing to spend that much why not just go get one of the numerous more expensive but very good s2000s that seem to be on car sales atm. Interstate isn't too bad.
I have tried dealing with a few of the people interstate and to be honest I just want to avoid it.
Not necessarily after a roadster I just liked the s2000. At this stage I am leaning towards a Golf R32

why not buy an 86? ... its practically new which means most of them will have low KMs and be in overall good condition - basically meeting all your requirements.
Yer in would like to see how much it depreciates. Compared to an S2000 or a Golf R32
