The wheels itself already illegal. We can only have up to 18" (2" bigger) & 1" wider. If the police didn't check your stock spec in the driver's door then you're lucky. Otherwise you can get defected by that.

That's not a law here in Qld. It's all about the rolling diameter.
Interesting... maybe i should move to queensland :p
Do you guys reckon that 18x7.5 and +40 would work on the front of my 2010 RB3?
not 100% sure on RB3 and assume 99.5% similar to RB1. 7.5 + 40 will have more than enough room as i'm running 7.5 +37 with chunky tyres without issues
Ausaccord, what's the factory front wheel offset on the RB1?
The RB3 is +55 for front and rears.
I'm now looking at a staggered set of wheels, something less flashy and slightly more circuit looking; DTM Z7
Rear: 18x8.5 +38
Front: 18x7.5 +40
Cheers again for the help.
OEM RB1 is 16x6.5 +55
Rear: 18x8.5 +38 may be a bit tight but with some guard works should be no problems
Thanks mate.
If 8.5 and +38 is too close the the guard for the rears, would 7.5 and +40 better?
I'm thinking it will be ok because of the narrower wheel. Yes?
If so, that'll mean I can run the same wheels front and back.
1 inch is 25.4mm so your rear is 14.7mm extrude then front 7.5 +40 but a -1.5*/-2.0* of camber will be ok without rolling guard.
all of above by guess plus if you are not slamming/even oem height on your RB3 then will be no problems
I run 19x8+48 all round lowered and no problem.
No silly camber but rear guards are rolled.
18x8.5 +38 should be fine for the rear...
I am running
Front: 20x8.5 +40 (no rolling, lowered and sits fine)
Rear: 20x9.0 +38 (guards rolled, lowered no scrubs and sits fine)
:)
depends what tyres you will be running
