Would you buy another new Euro?

All I have to say is, Although I think the Euro is a great car, just like the Lancer Evolution is also ~

All that matters is what you get out of owning your vehicle. Personally, if I had a Euro, and I wanted to sell him to get another one, there would be no real point to upgrade to a current model, because mechanically, it is the same car, and has had minor changes. Why not just keep the existing one.

And for those that are telling me to f off - that everyone has an opinion,

well, you're chastising me for having an opinion too, I find that rather hypocritical.

That is not the point. The point is if you would buy another one, regardless of if you have one now, or had one. It is a question really aimed at people with some idea of what the euro is like to own.

i think, that is the part you missed.

it would be like having a pair of jeans you wear every day, and then going out and buying a brand new pair of the same - what's the difference?

All i've got to say is that i'm happy with my Euro.It's a good all round car.:)

That's exactly the point. If you know they are good jeans, you really like them, would you buy another pair the same?

I know people who drive Commodores. They would never ever get another Holden ever again.

What's the reason behind getting another Euro? IF your current Euro is fine as it is, why is there a need to get another one? Unless it was damaged, really worn and thrashed, or change of transmission, I don't really see the point.

If your happy with the Euro, stick with it and get another weekend car. Else, just mod it and have a bit of fun. All depends on what your after. For me, if I had to trade the Euro, I wouldn't get another Euro. Maybe wait for the next Euro or maybe another car. If it had to be a new car for around $45-55K, I'd pick:

- Golf GTi
- Mazda 3 MPS
- RX8
- MX5
- 350Z
- EVO!

Personally, I rather performance than luxury anyday. All of the above cars except the Evo has respectiable interior and creature comforts. All of them are more performance oriented than the Euro.

rx8,mx5 and 350z are not practical compare to the others

RX8 isn't all that bad with 4 seats. Plus there was no mention of practicality in this thread so I assumed any car was up for consideration.

Meh.... practicality isn't really an issue, it is only me and the missus.
With the 350Z, it is a bit too expensive and you would have to pay luxury car tax. The mazda RX8 seems to be priced about the same as the EVO and would be a nice step up indeed, no luxury car tax either!

theres nothing wrong with the evo at all..
yes its not as refined as the euro but the performance is in another league.
coming from owning turbo cars and then to the euro it was a nice change to have a more upmarket and refined car.
but sometimes it works the other way,and some people that have always owned a stylish refined car like a euro would move on to a less refined but more raw and powerfull car..understandable really...

Yep.that about sums it up!

Who said the Euro (manual) isnt a performance car? 7.7sec (7 flat if u power shift) is respectable, and easily beats the MX5 and RX8 auto, plus its almost as good as the wrx around corners according to the Wheels Mag comparo. Plus its a lux car so u have the best of both worlds ;)
