Thanks i'll give them a call. I found out its a 3.5mm input on my head unit. I'm guessing all the euros have the same connections so hopefully theres an adapter for it.

plugs into any 3.5mm socket or RCA.
I bought the 3.5mm and usb adaptor on the same website (buttons on the radio & steering wheel control winamp/wmp if the usb is plugged into a computer)
Had no troubles
sweet thread,,,,
only problem is that as ive got sat nav i guess i might run into trouble as im planning to install another single din unit under the sat nav one;-????
will it fit ??? i dont know (see photo and tell me if you think it will fit??)

i guess first i should remove the trim and physically try to slide an old single din unit all the way too see if it fits......
if it does then this is what i'll need
1.buy a dvd single din unit (maybe jvc with little lcd in the face)
2.install it under the sat-nav unit (dont know if it'll fit)
3.instal some kind of aux input (need to read more post's to choose)
4.and buy a tvandnav2go unit and a few standard auto relays..
then eventually all i'll need to do is to push the aux button which will toggle power the aux-input device and power the jvc dvd unit via a simple relay, so then the jvc unit will turn on start playing a dvd which will trigger the tvandnav2go box which will switch the screen from sat/nav to the dvd and the sound from the head unit will also go into the aux-input box.....
hopefully all this will go smoothly and no magic smoke appears ...
edit: also does anyone know how much if any more space is required for dvd head units, because they have extra fans to keep air flow going and keep the overall temps cool. im just worried if the unit will heat up if the bottom of the sat/nav unit above it is touching the top off it.?????????/ any one ??
It's a standard double din, so a single din under the sat-nav dvd-rom drive should fit fine.
Instead of a single din with a small screen, wouldnt you be better off with a single din with a 7" flip screen?
sure that would be the easier way .. but i already got the satnav screen i want to utilize and want it to look integrated / stock(ish),, plus i might not go with the litle screen dvd unit just a no frills dvd player hooked up to the sat nav screen,,
but thanks for your answer/reply ill give it a test fit to see how it wedges in there
nice plan mate.. you might wanna add a backup camera and tv turner as well while you're at it
A few people from acurazine.com have managed to install the dvd hu in the din slot with no problem along with one of those tvandnav2go on their tsx.. looks good
Keep us posted how you go..
can't you just get an after market dvd player hook it up under your seat and connect it to the aux input into the nav?
jsut wondering if you guys had to take out the stock HU to remove cables to plug harness in or is there an easy way of accessing the stock wiring without moving it?
Thanks guys.
not sure about the nav, but the standard radio has the plug for the aux kit on the bottom of the unit so you dont need to take the radio out
hmmm so all i do is take out the antenna plug and harness plug to access it as i am putting in a aftermarket HU?
so access the plugs from underneath where the cd holder/flip door is?
