of course they do....

ok anyway. i think the cbr pretty much owns r6, so this thread pretty much done.
established only things r6 has over cbr are:
- better looks (i still prefer headlights on cbr over bug eyed r6, but love the gunmetal R6 fairings and the rims)
get a gsx r 600 yer its not a honda but on the road stock out of the box they are the best performer hands down. and they have sex written all over them.
Of most the 600cc sports bikes, WHY ONLY CBR600RR NO SLIPPER CLUTCH?????? Hate to be doing 10K-16K rpm then accidently dropdown a gear... That turned me down as i was about to buy the bike last year... but got my gixxer now and slipper clutch is great and i did accidently gear down on high revs...
^^ the fireblade 1000cc model has it now. which means it will be brought out in the next 600rr, and will pwn even more.
lol ... slipper clutch is mainly for track use imo ...
Well YES OFCOURSE... but also a safety thing for street riding...try downshifting at even 6-8000 revs on 600cc? Oh wait, try it on a 250cc... see yourself lockup rear wheel and skid your way through the streets.doesn't have to be too high revs or or high speed... I've locked up on the cbr250 changing gears from 3rd to 2nd at aroudn 30-40kph... it locked up and skid a little... though i didn't control my clutch smooth enough...
*what am i saying...I guess you're all experts, dont need to rely on these things...haha.
LOL ... it would be nice if i had it hahaha ...
but yeh i do know what you mean
No.. how do you figure that??
for a start the CBR has won every world super sport title since i can remember..
second i have never heard anyone who knows what they are talking about say that the r6 is better.
read through the following test properly make sure you go to both pages aswell.. its no coincidence the yamaha comes last everywhere.

^^ i think on circuit, the r6 will post a slightly faster lap time than cbr. the 08 model due to its improved mid range and the typical high end power of r6 is a big factor in this.
though unless ur purchasing ur bike purely for track. cbr has it beat in every other area even handling. yamaha apparently have sacrificed all areas of streetability (hence coming in last place of the above shoot out), for this track advantage
in the end, probably comes down to personal preference in looks and brand loyalty etc.
typeR positive obviously a r6 fanboy :P fair nuf tho, they are an awesome bike.
you guys are forgetting the stability in parts of the corner, the ability for it to tip in and chassis of the bike etc ... all this power talks makes me sick =p
