anyone running 18x7.5 +45 offset wheels?
please post up pics? just wanna see how it'll look !
it'll look weak
Lol! back to wheel hunting then!
so what about 18x8.5 +40 offset?
much better? =p
ok thanks for the feedback jzx_andy!
about to organise my setup soon BC Racing Coilovers. I was going to stay conservative but saw tranz car on the weekend and decided **** IT.
Enkei GTC01 18x8.5 +30.
0 finger gap in winter ill raise it for the the snow. You reckon just rolled guards at the front or will i need a light pull.
Rear will be probably guards rolled and remove bumper tab.
Tyres 215/40(or45)18
Neg camber make it fit just rotate once a month.
How do you guys reckon this will look?
hey guys
thinking abt buying wheels for accord euro
18x9 +25 all round , its running 215/40 tyres
what would need to be done to run these ?
you'd need your guards to be rolled. personally i'd go for 225/40/18 def not 45 affects your speedo more. why not just keep the stockies for the snow?
im running x9 + 20 on my accord which has similar guard characteristics to the euro. you're guards are going to be rolled w/ slight pull. and camber kits for the front and rears.
will neutral camber be enough ? or front and rear camber kits are a must after a roll /pull to the fenders ?>
fronts if you're on a budget get the hardrace ones. if you're feeling generous get the spoon ones. do not get skunk2.
roll, trim inner fender and light pull for fronts, with the 215/40
rears, same deal, not so much needed a pull. just rear tab shaved and 215/40
although the rears might not be as flush compared to how the front is.
neg camber needed, esp for the front, like -2.
i use skunk2 front camber kit and ingalls rear.
yep, like long said, 215s all round.
guards, rolled, inner fenders trimmed, light pull, shaved rear tab and camber kits front and rear.
Hard race looks like the winner was never getting skunk so many bad reviews but 500 for front camber **** my life
LOL, wats bad about skunk2? ROFL, half of tsxclub and myself use them....LOOLOL oh dear.
tranz, i wanna see your car one day lol!
Well in that case half the price may be worth the risk
lol tranz and longers, you gotta see longers ride tranz, after seeing it i need to pick up my game =P
i want to see longers ride..
hahahha its nothing special.
alright guys looking around for new rims, getting kinda tired over the works lol
thinking of possibly going 18 x 9.5 +30 all round or if they dont fit the fronts then will hunt for a 18 x 8 +35
ive got rear camber arms, rear guards have been rolled, fronts are untouched atm will get it rolled when im back in adelaide and trim the inner splash guards
but definitely do not want to pull any of the guards currently sitting on 0 finger gap (i think), possibly less my front guards are getting raped at full lock sometimes
what will need to be done to make it fit?
hahaha tranz remember me telling you that the other day, about the skunk 2 front camber arms :p
hi sorry for being noob.. but will 19x8.5 55+ fit on a cl9?
thanks for confirming it! i plan to buy wheels in that size.. i have another question what tyre size will go with it well?
hey, im a newbie here and was just wondering will 19" x 10 et 20 (FR) fit cl9?
^sorry they were 18x7.5. My mistake if you go 19x8.5 the offset would need to be at the most +45 to clear the struts.
Bloody hell... wanting to go wider now...
Looking at a set of 18x9.5 +38 for both front and rear... 225/40/18... 1-2 finger gap, and running -2 degrees camber max on the rear
firstly; has anyone got any pics of what the front fitment would look like on natural camber, im scared that this kind of setup may actually poke a tad too much on the fronts..
im not worried about the rears as the fitment would end up being perfect. but yeah, what kind of work would you need to get these fitted? i dont want to sacrifice my tyre life as my car is a daily but damn.. if i can get these specs to fit with minimal camber i will be a really happy man!
18x8 all around
or
18x8 front, 18x9 rear?
wheels im wanting to get dont come in .5, sadly
since i have money now, im gonna order soon :D
18x8 all around IMO
Staggered setup just don't make sense on a FWD. As if our cars don't understeer enough already
My wheels arrived yesterday. They are 18x9 +33 all round which means guard roll and pull I guess
rota g-force..advan rs copies. saving up for some bbs lm's so they will do for now haha. pics soon
18x9 +38 all round seems bout the limit i can go, how much camber would i need to run at 1.5 finger gap? (i know guard work would have to be done lol)... 225/40 all round, not really keen on 215s as the popo's probably wouldnt be either?
from my knowledge the fronts should fit perfectly with less than -1 degree of camber, but yeah.. im clueless when it comes to the rears!
It would be around -2 and -3. From some knowledge probably around -2.3.
I ran 18x8 +38 with 1.5-2 finger gap with no guard work needed
yer i'm just more worried about camber.. as the rims would poke a bit on 0 degrees.. if i wouldnt be able to tuck them in with around -1.5 to -2 degrees i may have a problem since i do drive the car a lot :/
in my own research there is a lot of conflicting info with this stuff haha.. had a browse on rimtuck and did a few nerdy calculations and it seems like it would be a fine setup to run.. just hoping someone from here would be able to clarify!
Have you looked at wheel setups on the tsxclub forum?
Just bought new wheels 18x8.5 +35, 225/40/18 slightly stretched, lowered car currently about 13cm off the ground, coilovers on max hardness, and over pot holes, or turning at high speed i get scrub =[. But overall love the fitment quite flush =]. Just thought I'd put my specs up because i had a hard time deciding and finding the right specs too. Cheers
Nice :) will have similar specs soon. Got a pic of your setup?
im curious to see what it looks like too! my height is roughly the same as Smogol's
il try and get a pic up doing some photoshoots this sat so definately =]
18x8.5 +30? You reckon i will need front camber kit? will be quite low
trannzzz where have you been!! Didn't see u at the last jdmst meet :(
didnt know there was one. LOL
are you going for form > function??
for now but i will daily like that and raise it up and buy another set of wheels for track i think just 17x8 just el cheapos that are light
why not both :P
18x9 +33 with 1-2 finger gap. front camber kit?
What if you want some stretching?
you wanna put stretched tyres on a 7.5" rim?
