ya i got my vti auto for 25200 include tint windows, floor mats, and the chrome exhaust drive away....just got my car on thursday delivered to my home
so the spoilers and the surround cost u about 3000....i guess if it takes till sept and u are not in hurry maybe u can negotiate a 2007 model

I need some advise. Dealer just called me and told me that the delivery of my car would be in November (fainted, that's more then 5 month waiting!!)...As benthx has pointed out in his post, it is not far away from 2007...Do you think i should cancel my order?Cause if i get the car in late 2006, even it is the same model, but it is still a 2006 car rather then 2007 car...I scare it will affect it resell value by alot later on...What do you guys think?
And i also notice one thing in this post, people from NSW who ordered in May/June, most of them got their car delivered, where as for people from Vic who ordered the same time either didnt got the date from their dealer; or need to wait till october/November to get their car....Any exception?
just cancel the deal if u can... go to another dealer and make the same deal.. u probably get the car before november hahaha... and u can also do a better deal with another dealer too.... i would definitely do it if i were u,, 5 months is ridiculous.
Just make sure you don't lose anything (eg. deposit).
As for the 2006/2007 model issue; each car has a manufacture date in the left door frame anyway so you could always advertise it as say a July 06 model; but then, noone ever really advertises a car as "Late 20xx"...
I just got my 3 days ago for $25000 and it includes floor mats, bumper bootlip protector, luggage area protector. I need to get alloys!

I really like the purple, I was afraid it might be too light having only seen pictures in the brochure, but the colour is really nice and dark.
the rubber underbody sound deadner is really effective, pretty quiet driving.
Speaking of seats, has anyone with a 06 VTi added the "Seat Skin" Neoprene seat covers? The picture on the website makes them look really nice, but I'm interested in how they feel once they're on..or if they're even needed. (and cost would be nice too ;)

Are the seat covers good quality? I thought if you buy aftermarket ones from like Repco or something, even the more expensive ones, they cost less than $100.
You're right, you can get a full set of seat covers from super cheap auto for under $100 but in my experience they are generally low quality, itchy and ill fitting.Quote:

I got mine from Hornsby Honda and the dealer (Chris) was a pretty direct/straight guy to talk to. I hate it when people **** around and don't get to the point.

Even though im a student, i went with my family plus another family. So with 2 asian family's there to help haggle for me, they were willing to budge a bit. If you have trouble like channon, try bringing more people with you. It seemed to work for me.Quote:

Hi Channon, I rang larke hoskins rosebery today and they gave me a quote for $26370 with mats only.nothing more, the price couldn't even go lower.The sales guy said the vti model is most popular so they don't give discount. Then I rang Rick Damelian Honda which the sales guy is quite helpful, got a quote for vti auto with original mats, tint, 15" after markets wheels, full tank of fuel, and free 10,000kms service all for $26200..what do you guys think? the ETA of the car is early sept. The colour i want is Silver moss. all other dealer said ETA will be early Oct.Quote:

when i bought my previous honda...a jazz which unfortunately should be in some salvage yard .......i looked through the aftersales lady's folder as she left it lying on her table and it wasnt closed....a tint cost them 200 and they are told to quote you 450 a full car protection (exterior. interior and undercar) cost them 400 but they quote 1600....and thats for a euro accord......
u can go to the one i bought tynan motors but u hv to decide if its worth the drive 45 mins for me coz its in sutherland....but i hv to say excellent service...as i have bought hondas b4 and the service is nth compared to this one

Just signed a deal with Rick Damelian for a vti auto in silver moss with original mats, full tank of fuel, tints, premium plates and 15" wheels from Bob Jane for $26500. Expected delivery is beginning of September. The sales guy told me that they still have 4 units left in vti auto. Thanks for all your input guys..:wave:
Hmm, I ordered a VTi in Silver Moss and was told late september..I suppose the cars coming in to the country aren't put in a big bucket and drawn from as needed, different dealers have different stock levels and different orders in which may explain it, but it's still annoying that the difference in delivery times for identical cars is a over a month.

My three month contract ended on the 26th July 2006. Told it would be able September (dealer months ago). Colour was silver moss vti auto. When I enquired with HA I was told there was a "hold" on them. Shocked with the term hold I enquired further by was then corrected "I mean a delay" Like to know what the hold is about???
Anyway, purchased a euro lux instead. Pick it up on Monday.

I was talking to a dealership in Perth earlier this week and they said that the current wait for the Civic is March of next year....
I was amazed at the current wait, im glad I put in my order a couple of months back...ive still got a month to go tho :(
Spoke to my dealer yesterday and he advised my Civic will be in the country around the 13th or 14th. I should have my car next week sometime, I can't wait.
My case is put order at 19/07,and dealer told me i should wait until this Nov, but last week he called me back and told me my blk vti can get a bit earily as Oct. But after read this post, I am not sure the dealer just kidding me or not, anyway, i am locate at Brisbane, any mate waitting his baby in my same city now?
Ps: my car's price is $23250 driveaway with free floor mat, is it a good price? To me is acceptable price.

I should hopefully be picking up my Civic Sport on Saturday!! Will confirm with the dealer tomorrow. Ordered it late June so it was a one and half nearly two month wait.

Just a few thoughts. I origionally had a civic on order but canceled it and got a euro instead. If your delivery date is estimated towards the end of the year 0ct/nov/dec. It might be worth your while cancelling your order if dealer is unable to deliver in three months and has gone over the three month period. You are nearly 2007 with a compliance date of 2006. You have effectively lost a year and car has depriciate before clocking up the kms.
This might give you some further negotiating power with the dealer.:thumbsup:
I did see a civic vti that had some nice looking csa alloys 15" fitted, when I walk past the servicing yard for honda. I wish I had my camera handy.
