just thought it would be intresting to let u guys know that the fd2 is actually slower then the fd1 from 0 - 100 because of its weight....cant find the article now but it was on drive when they did a test drive of all the vehicles such as focus and corolla and golf.
and also i got some new mods yay...haha

I see... theres no point going to DOHC. I want the K20 because you can mod it much more then the R18 and its cheaper to mod the k20 then the r18 aswell.

^ Did you have to cut through the plastic wall towards the end of the CAI (where the filter goes) to fit it through? (as per Injen instructions)

Well the actual kit cost me $1100, paint was $100 per part, and installation was $50 per part.

No i did not get them from ebay. They are a full replacement of the stock headlamps. I havent installed it yet but i can see that there are some halogen bulbs installed inside. But i will be changing them to HIDs.
LOL i'm in Malaysia atm and I've seen a few sets of Angel Eyes now. They're the new 'in' thing since HIDs are so last last year (can buy sets for RM200 or less.. i.e. $65aud).
The Civics here... a lot of Mugen (and Mugen replica) Civics. The back of the Civic here is much more crowded than ours with "1.8L iVTEC" or some crap like that. Not many 1.8s; most are 2.0L. A lot of people here have visors (not just on Civics). Lots of stickered up cars (e.g. Hyundai Getz, and the usual culprits of Lancers with Evolook bodykits) full of gauges and Brembo brakes with rims.
Saw a nice DC5R. Still looking for CTR since they sell the JDM FD2R here for RM200k.
But those angel eyes are $hit. They make ur car look cheap. And it will still make your car illegal cos it still uses reflectors if HIDs are installed. Mine are full lamp replacements with projectors + CCFL rings (angel eyes). rab yourself a pair in Malay if your interested. But then youll need to get new HIDs as the ones you bought will not fitQuote:

yeah man i got a sub n amp in my one without a headunit and it apparantly isnt sounding to its full potential but still its pretty nice!
i know cracker.... i wanna change da headunit coz the factory inbuilt cd-player can't handle to power for the subs and amps.... so tats why it isnt working to the full potential... and also coz i dont wanna waste too much money on a shietty sound system... so it all depends on da headunit and dashunit

You can buy the dash kit in Singapore at KAH Motors. DMX was selling these kits but sold out. Dunno if hes getting anymore. I bought my replacement dash for about $170

I have custom headers and j's racing exhaust & F5 intake on. Sounds like titanium rasp and quite a loud exhaust and intake is also very loud.
A few ppl on the forum have the Mugen exhaust I think.
Anyway, the stock HU is fantastic imo (in VTi-L/Sport). Hard to justify why spend more money when it's already got all the right features (incl steering wheel controls) and an easy to use system.
As a short update... in my past few days here in M'sia/Singapore, seen alot of Civics with Mugen kit replicas. A few originals here and there. Then there's also a few white FD2Rs around the place. Quite nice... but it's more expensive than an Evo9 or WRX STi! Hard to justify the price IMO.
hey jace is some one using your car while you are over seas....pretty sure i saw it in the hornsby library car park yesterday or one which is pretty much the same as yours...
i had a muffler on my car sounds pretty average...then i had a j's racing exhaust system on it sound still pretty average and from both i found that neither really gave it much performance upgrade...the j's racing catback system made a slight difference to accleration but wasnt worth the original money i paid for the system...
As for the stock HU i found the sport one very good and also ran my old system pretty good never had any problems with it but hey i still have tha double din for sale

Features are there but compared to a double din touchscreen unit (e.g. Alpine W202), it will shit on the stock HU. Some of the touchscreens utilizes the existing steering controls. If I had the money to do a full sound system setup, i would definitely get a touchscreen. I already have the double din dash, but its just sitting on my shelf atm :(. Im no audiofreak. But i would like to have a touchscreen, 2 amps, 1 sub, components and rear setup. Just a basic setup but most importantly a nice looking HU.Quote:
