Lets Talk d-series

As U can see I bored the TB out,it only took 3 hours to do.I used a small round file,a good one,not a cheap one.

I think the material is aliminum on the TB,it came off quite easy.Anyway,I'm very happy with how it turned out.Also I filed the butterfly plate to a point and made sure it open 100%,not 97 or 98%.

I will do mine soon and get it in then comment on the difference.

It's best to leave it all scratched up like that instead of polishing it cause it helps with the atomization of the air.Atomizing the air,splits the atoms in the air allowing more air into the combustion chambers.And more air = more power!

Something for me to think about. Personally I'd be worried about doing a DIY port on my B16A but with my D-series I'd happily have a shot/practice. TB work looks even easier.

That's the GREAT thing about our d's aye,it's nothing to get in and have a go ya self at everything cause it wont cost ya an arm and a leg!!

I was suprised how easy the TB was,U can 'feel' it out at the end and U just know where to file to get it tappered properly,so suprisingly very easy,could have done it earlier..

Where can I buy a dremel and carbide set? And these sanding drum things?

Bunnings should sell them,I'm gonna buy one too.

lol wtf? im no expert but im pretty sure its to keep the fuel as a fine mist when its injected, helping it burn more efficently

But this is the TB..so just talking about the air.

I rang bunnings,the dremels start at $100 and the bits are $8 up.

i think at the tb stage id be wanting a polished surface so i can get more air smoothly flowing through the intake manifold. ive never seen anybody run with a tb like that
