as long as the engine is strong & maintained it will be a good pickup

nego off the price if you can and then respray the whole car for 2.5k if thats really buggin you

You'll be losing money no matter what you do. You paid too much. $7500 is the most you can reasonably expect to get, in my opinion. He's low-balling an overpriced offer. It sucks that you're going to have to throw away money like that, but you already lost the $5k when you bought the car.
