Swift is a brand of springs, or were you kidding?

it was partially a joke.
but i dont get the GD part because GD is also the chassis of the 1st gen jazz but he has a GE (2nd gen)
You didnt read wrong
Was offered a set of GD springs for cheap and they are interchangeable with the GE. Fits perfect
Only thing is the rear spring rate is much higher than springs designed for the GE.
5.1kgmm compared with ~2.5kgmm
So the back is quite bumpy but stays very flat through the corners.
Handles much better than stock
thought so. makes sense that they would fit i guess.
i have 6kg/mm on the back i have the biggest headache after a rough road, however have my damper settings very stiff which kinda helps stop it being bouncy but its still painfull in the car park.
srsly they should shoot the guy that invented those plastic bolt in speed bumps so tricky to go over.
yeah i feel you
everything in the boot jumps around over any bumps
rear passengers almost bump their heads over bumps
side note:
anyone on here made seat rails for their GE?
Have a pair for Evo7 recaros i want to put in but don't want to fork out the cash for Bride rails...
It's a massive pain. And the rails will sit high unless Ur a pro fabricator. Easiest way would be check the evo rails and Ur rails the see if u can keep the evo spiders and mount them to Ur seat base and just take off you original sliders.
But It's gonna sit too high. Really better off getting bride rails second hand if the evo seats are recaro Sr models
The recaros I have don't have any rails or sliders on them at the moment.
Looks like I'll have to spend a weekend trying to make a fixed rail for it
I guess if no one else drives it then I won't need sliders
Might even do a DIY if it turns out ok
best way is to get 2 steal plates per seat (around 1/4inch thick i think), and attach the rails to the steal plate then attach the seat to the plate. bam aslong as you have it all square so ur not facing off to the side. thats the easiest way.
and its how bride get the MO rails to fit so many seats, the MO is just the RO rail but with some adapter plates, so u get more hole sizes
should really make a new thread for this.
