well mine varies from 300-400 a tank, it all depends on how u drive it.... i don't mind giving it a hit every now and then LOL =)

Who gives a toss. I put 35l of 98 in , it gets me high 600-700. A few times. The car is using the same amount of fuel and making the same power as a d16 at similar rpm.My old Si did the same figures.

Sounds you have a very small rolling diameter on your wheels, vss reads wrong or your cluster is a little off.
35L and getting 600-700km is a bit hard to believe.
but it states that optimax will improve your fuel consumption by up to 44ks! LOL
I've gotten 390 k's since the last time I filled up. I put 30 litres in and I've still got more to go :D
yea still on around high 500s to 600 on my EJ8 in mountain mode, mixed with daily driving now, still costing me around $38 a wk to run on BP fuel which is good :D

its not hard to believe i get 650kms out of a full tank

i can't stand having air con on. it feels like i have the car full of fatties! feels slow as! only time i air con it up it when my missus is whinging she's hot. then i whinge back the car feels so sluggish ha ha ha

engine conversion is definitely on the cards tho its now just been pushed back a year or so. I wanted to do a b18c2 later this year or c7 if the aussie dollar got better after july 1. oh well, house is better.

I get at about 400 out of my ej8 1.6 sohc vtec. I give it a good 'ol vtec workout at least once a week (this definitely chews petty) and i wouldnt call myself a Sunday driver. The most Ive gotten out of it is 590 on he way from Brissie to the Whitsundays. It all depends on how heavy your foot is.
i get around 400-450kms out of my EK1, and i always pour b4 the petrol lights come on..
440km out of 35L in my stock ek4 b16a2
Could someone please tell me what the stock capacity of the 99-00 Ek1 fuel tank is? Is it 45 or 50 liters?

i'm averaging about 450-500...but i'm hoping to get more now, cause i'm doing a 100k total highway drive about once a week.
on average, how much does highway driving take down the L/100k?
5.3/5.4 lts if u have a b18cr with a 4.7 fd thats 700 kms plus
so with your car it will get less

pretty sure i'm gonna crack 550 and over with roughly 100k's of highway driving
getting consistant 550 a tank around town , one more wakie and i got 500 with the drive down then around 35 laps of wakefield. On te way back the tank got about 630 to syd (about 200ks) then normal city driving. Fuel 98 caltex.

I get 400kms every week from my EK VTi-R. A mix of freeway and suburban driving. BP Ultimate seems to give me more than Shell Optimax.

I use my car to get from uni every day. I drive about 500km's a week. And normally (depending on how "Ambitious" my driving style is) I have enough in the tank to get me through the week.
I have had weeks where I have redlined as frequently as you say (just got a new gauge cluster with a Tacho :p ) and those weeks I would only get like 300-400 out of the tank.
well with an auto car, ive worked it out if i just drive normally on 80, and then floor it the car will use a higher spining gear and throw me from 2krpm to about 5k and over :)Quote:

and 'a tank' is a pretty meaningless figure since you never suck it dry and never fill it to the same capacity
all you guys getting under 400k's per tank on relatively stock motors probably have heavy feet
that said my lightly modded b18c7 gets about 10l/100km on bp ultimate tuned on crome
Id be concerned if you got below 500km to a tank on the y8, I use vpower, drive spiritedly often and clear that mark with ease
had 17's and got the same k's, 15's didnt make a huge difference to fuel ecconomy and the tyres funnily enough are the same price for the same brands :( lol

That's with a d16a turbo driving from livo > chatswood for work and back- through sydneys peak.
I found out BP fairfield was selling Wynns Hi-octane boost for $10 a bottle. (also fuel treatment, injector cleaners etc)
So i gave my EG a full tank with octane boost- i get more KMs!! like 460kms and im sure i wasn't granny driving because i was testing if the octane boost gave any performance increase many times in traffic.
So i think $10 is worth it for the extra kms and performance increase... lol
What do you guys think? Bad to keep running octane boost? - i went and bought another 5bottles just yesterday.
better off spending your money on a tank of fuel imo.

i get 550km off 40L. 98 ron, aircon, traffic driving, and some ocassional squirts. it's a d16y4 EK1.
My EM1 is getting about 9L/100km. So that is 500km out of a full 45L tank. BP Ultimate or Mobil 98.
That's with plenty of driving in gridlock and spirited driving when I get the chance. Let's just say it's wound out fairly regulary. After all, it's B16a so it begs to be revved.
Sometimes the number creeps towards 10L/100km, but its never done more than 9.9/10L.
