My bad, I re-read your post and you did say you don't have to avoid little humps anymore.
its kool, its still low but not back-breaking low.

Lakeside was bloody awesome man your car looked good on track so did Tony's! Sorry we didnt stay for the whole thing we wanted to go to the Spit and it was so worth it. Hero car at Lakeside was still that Ford Falcon that thing was awesome :P

my next task :( ^^
will soon relocate battery to boot and fuse box under dash when i have time haha,
has anyone relocated the overflow bottle?
last night installed Front sway bar and welded eye bolts in for harness ready for track day next week
nulon 10w-30 + greddy oil filter
headlight restoration, before/after pics to come
Had a straight pipe fitted from the headers to the muffler on friday, car is now making 126kw atw on a mid-range tune (for track) One of the baffles in my mid-pipe had completely collapsed and my exhaust was about 1.5" in the mid-pipe section, that was why my car was making such little power at autosalon :/
Today I stripped my interior (passenger seat, all speakers and headunit, lower part of dash, door trims, passenger seat belt assembly) rear seats etc were already done. Also mounted my rear wing back on, getting ready for track.
Just gotta get my tires fitted onto my wheels and mount my rear diffuser and front splitter

What front sway are you using? Nothin better than a harness for track, feels awesome haha
ready for the track aye good luck did you remove sound deadning yet?
So good to see your EM1 again Mike especially in track form.. You tow it up to Winton??
looks hot man.
should be getting some new headers for my EJ8 before Friday, WOOOO
looks good Mike, nice power from your EM1 :)
you guys have a clue if ek9 front sway fit on ek1? or do i need to run em1 front sway? currently looking for sways for my car :] as i heard ek9 front sway dont fit on ej8 apparently..
i'm pretty sure you need ek9 front LCAs aswell. don't quote me on that though haha
if u have EK1 u need to change LCAs as i had to.
but every thing else should be ok em1, vtir and ek9 sways should all fit
Front ek9 and ek4 are the same diameter i heard.... if im not mistaken only differences is the rear sway bar
Im not sure of ek1 though, could be the same minus the rear swaybar
do you guys experience a 'noticeable' increase in road noise with lowered suspension in the EKs?
More interior creaks from added stiffness. :)

Tonight, I re-assembled my front splitter setup. Was in pieces. Not much more to do now.
Velocity stack? i'm not sure what you mean? any pics of a similar setup to what your thinking?
I Just run 4 foam filters, one on each of the TB's, the filter has an internal cage that sits on the bell mouths of the ITBs, looks and sounds awesome, performance probably not as good as some other setups probably (hot air etc) but I'm not keen on running them without filters or with the plenum, plenum takes away all that great sound ;)
Yeah sound deadening and carpet have all been removed from the inside
Yeah, I am borrowing one of my mates trailers, suc a pain that i have to tow it up there. But then at least I know I can get it home if something go's wrong, knock on wood :)
 thanks mate. Hey, I swear I saw a civic exactly the same as the one in your avatar the other day, down near Chirnside in Vicco. but says you are from SA.
Thanks mate, can't wait to give it a good proper run. I still haven't driven it for more than 20m in first gear yet since i've had it back...
Yeah man, heaps more noises in the way of creaks, cracks, bumps, clonks and donks. Plus, being closer to the road increases road noise, but only slightly. The look is worth the slight discomfort

I Just run 4 foam UNI-filter Filters, one on each of the TB's, the filters have an internal cage that sits on the bell mouths of the ITBs, this way the filter doesn't collapse. looks and sounds awesome, performance probably not as good as some other setups probably (hot air etc) but I'm not keen on running them without filters or with the plenum, plenum takes away all that great sound ;)

extended headlight harness' and other misc wiring for tucking, just need to clean it all up and cover it in corro ^^
Hey mike, i mean trumpets/bell mouths, velocity stacks just another more technical term lol
Hardly see any modded civics around Vic nowadays, or maybe im jus on the wrong side of the state lol (northside), from what iev seen skylines/silvia out number us big time, for every 5 skylines, theres one modded civic :(
i guess you could say its the new bogan car, since there dirt cheap an every bogan thinks his a even more of a hard kent with a turbo (no offence taken to skyline owners)
Fixed my Drivers side door locking mechanism....Took it all apart, cleaned it, lubricated all the moving parts put it back together all good... Only to find my passenger door lock is playing up now...
Ah the joys of 10+ years old Hondas.
I figure my car realises I have put it up for sale and now its crakin' the shits in retaliation.
Was in the garage again tonight mounting the brackets for the front splitter and test fitting. Also removed the old un-used air-con cylinder thingy and also the window washer fluid bottle. Got my tires fitted to the wheels too, look phat

ah yes, I understand, my ITB's already have really short but wide bellmouths on the them. my Filters just sit over them.
Yeah true, I barely ever see modded honda's in general to be honest except for DC5's and DC2's. I see them around a bit but never anything else. I see a hell of a lot of skylines around my area but only 1/7 are worth a second look. My area is packed full of commodores and Utes to be honest (complete with a southern cross sticker and chevy badge.......) every second dickhead has one and there are a lot of dickheads out my way haha Honda's out my area are very scarce :(
Installed whale penis intake, removed resonator, cut bumper and installed cold air feed. The whale penis intake seems deeper and louder than injen replica. Throttle response seems better too.

I heard awhile back running longer trumpets can alter ur power band, though i wouldn't know for sure as im not a engineer but seeing real race cars with long trumpets could mean something
Cars looking real good in race trim :) loving the canards an front splitter, have you thought of running wider rims or lower offset wheels to increase wheel track? just a suggestion lol still feeling ur work wheels :)
Is that a mini i see, lol, good ol mr.bean car hahahaha whack in a K20 in it, than its no slouch
longer runners mean more torque
Already running wider wheels and tires for track man, running 15x8" +36 6ul with hoosier R6 225 up front and 205 at the rear. My other wheels are the SSR's (not to be mistaken with work meisters ;) ) which are the 16x7.5" +26, so they would be great for track if they weren't so heavy... (possibly be up for sale soon too
, maybe)
Will be the first time out with this new wheel tire combo so i'm keen to see what difference it will make compared to my old combo,
the 15x7" +42 with 205 direzza 03G's. Should be a huge difference,
i hope.
Yeah the mini has been at undercoat stage for the last 3 years. My brothers un-finished project... Working engine and everything. Just needs a spray and a new dash made up and it would be pretty much done.
my 'N*Power' eBay headers came todaaaaaaaaaay :D! me so happy!! heres the link to my facebook album

Just took my car out for a sneaky drive down my road. OMG what a difference!! completely different car, faster, more repsonsive :) I'm still shaking. Bring on WINTON on sunday!!
installed new Sabelt Taurus seat, found an bloody good deal yesterday
DC5 MUGEN TWIN LOOP fitted onto my EM1 =D
Nice man  all ready for track sunday?
I also just finished mounting my CF rear diffuser  worked out well :) Cut the rear bar a bit so that it slots just over the top of the end of the diffuser. I have some side wings as well, but i'm gonna leave them off for the time being, try mount the side bits another time. We'll see if it makes any sort of real difference. Either way though, it looks great.

yeah, pretty much ready, just need to tinker with the car a bit more in the morning.
gonna c what this D-series can do b4 the B20 goes in
looks tough man, u really should cover the whole under side to get the full effect of the front splitter and diffuser.
Holy shit that things looks spastic why have i not seen any videos of this monster?
Looks much more aggressive with the rear diffuser now :)
It may even cut ur lap time down a full second, or two, but im assuming you would be running relative low suspension for the rear diffuser to come into effect, or have i got the inner workings of diffuser messed up? lower the car, means less air pressure under neath?
True time attack car, any more plans? roll cage, with seem welded body with carbon fiber body shell lol
Anyone up for robbing a bank with me =D lol
ME!!!
Put me up for that one as well yo I'll be the black guy with the big guns :D
hmmmm
what i did to my EK 2day, oh yes i took it to winton for the 1st time and did a 1:51.7 with a D16y4
i reckon i could have gone better if i lost my passenger of 100kg.
also congrats to mike for SMASHING his PB by 3 seconds
nice :) how does that time compare to an b16a/b?
I also took my car to Winton and did a new PB of 1:37.19 ended up 3rd fastest for the day overall out of 65 cars :) couldn't be happier with how the car performed today!! Everything was spot on apart from my muffler falling off in the last session :? haha
Thanks man :)
drove mine and Josh came along :)

has anyone here advanced the timming on their d16y4 ek1?
Had my timing belt and all service belts replaced. Had valve clearances re-done. :D
Got her back from the Exhaust shop, replaced my turbo manifold gasket, and turbo mounting bolts.
does anyone know on the distributor on the d16y4 wich way to turn it to advance the timming, eg clockwise advance timming anti clockwise retard or vise versa?
bolted on my ek9 front lip yesterday looks the goods from jdmYARD thanks again.
installed Fast line shifter and added a circuit hero on top to make it super high.

yep
running the old D
gonna good thing about it that itll bit the B as well when i swap
nope not even close, with my hand on it in 1st and 3rd i have a 2 inch gap from my fist to the dash.
ive also noticed that it has a shorter throw than the stock 1, i guess that helped alot.
took the rails off the seat to make it fixed to the chassis which lowered the seat by 2 inches.
so the seat itself (no rails at all) is bolted to the floor of the car? I have never seen that befor.
yep no rails at all, just a bracket so it bolts to the OEM holes
finally put my N*Power headers in today, took 2 hours or so with lunch of course :P
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._2306394_n.jpg
installed my N*Power header today.
only took it for a 5minute drive to get the gold,
wish it would stay this colour!
haha n*power ftw! yea took us 2 hours we did it casually lol but yea... was your o2 sensor hard to get out the old headers? mine was a bitch had to use a very bigger DIY breaker bar (fence pole lol)
Monday - brought my 1996 EK Civic Sedan (stock other than KSport Coilovers).
Thursday - Got the windows tinted with 20% tint, ordered a set of 16x8" ET35 Rota RB's.
Friday - Painted the rear 'H' badge and 'CIVIC' badge in gunmetal metallic grey.
By the way guys, how are you finding the N*Power headers? They seem pretty good value for $160 delivered off Ebay - was going to buy a set and now I've seen you guys have just installed them. Much change in performance/sound? Hows the build quality?
No, actually the whole thing came off and went back together like a dream.
I was expecting the O2 sensor to be a nightmare but came off easy too.
we used quite a bit of WD40 to get the bolts off but other then that, it wasn't any harder then what you'd expect it to be.
Congrats on the new EK, (sounds like the same as mine ;)
I'm liking it, weather was wet here today, so i didnt really get a chance to take it out.
but have noticed better response, not much different to the sound
and if anything else, it just looks awesome.
