if ya gonna do a respray, do it all.
silver is different, theres heaps of black dc2's everywhere
black looks good as a colour but it does not do it for me for cars... does not have that wow factor if you aiming for the top
Hehe secret secret ;)
I got driveway space but you got too much money! spoon cluster/te37's! In all honesty driveway looks big, but it sure feels small when the asian parents get on your back about the mess! :P
Ps. At least get the door jams done if you respray indie. but imo silver is a nice clean colour. miss my old sedan.
got new INJEN CAI for the DA9 but i got B18c2 in the bay so its worth the money :)
Naice!
scraped some speed bumps.

cph3r not going to BBQ meet? need more b74p dc4 lol
Nah mate, will be celebrating Sis's 21st with the family.
hey guys, is the annual honda day worth driving 2 days for?
Fuarkkk been keepin an eye on carsales for ages for a clean VTi-R with <150kkm stock around 7k mark. Was thinking about checking out a clean GSi for 7k but it has no sunroof... i feel as though it's a requirement for me now that i seem to use it every time i'm driving in non-rain weather. It's like i can't breath without it! literally...
Should i stick to hondas/tegs? i sort of wanna try something new but i already know a lot about integras so i feel safer buying one
S14s are around that price
P plate laws, unless theres such thing as a NA S14
Personally wouldn't touch an n/a Nissan.
Alex, would you mind telling how much you bought your DC2 for? i really don't wanna get ripped off again lol paid almost double what my gsi is worth :(
If you can sell yours and get a clean GSi/VTi-R manual for a little more than what you get, then it might be worth it. Otherwise, I'd save up until you're on your full licence, and then buy a Silvia or something. How much longer until you're on your full licence?
I'm only 18 lol another 3 and 1/4 years to go :(
Might have to settle for GSi... like 90% of vti-r are thrashed to bits, and good condition ones sellers want something stupid like 12k.
Was looking at this one, the kms are acceptable but no sunroof.

get an em1 charlie they're pretty awesome lol wouldnt mind one myself tbh
Heh yeah thought about EM1s for a while, but prefer the look of DC2. That's not to say if a well priced EM1 popped up i wouldn't get it :P
would not sell your car if i was in your position charlie, youd lose quite abit of money considering what you bought it for in the first place
never "settle" for a car man. wait for one you really like, even if it takes time. that way you won't regret it in the long run.
Looks clean, and if you were happy to just go for looks and mild performance, I'd say go for it. But you already have a very similar car, so it seems pointless going through all of that bullshit just to go from an auto to a manual. If you want P-Plate performance and fun, more than looks, an EM1/EG/EK will be a better option than a Teg, I believe. Can't have it all at our price-range, unfortunately.
Clearly you aren't happy with your car. You want a manual, you want VTEC. I think if you did end up getting a Civic, you'd probably be happy with it for the next few years, modifying it here and there until you're off your Ps. I just don't think that's something you'll get from your current car.
yeah but these low km, clean cars tagged with a pretty pricey tag are not going to do you any justice. in my eyes your just repeating the same mistake that you made the first time you bought your car and you will lose even more money. weren't these the features which made you pay what you did for your first car? but if it makes you happy that is all you need to buy a car
Hey mate, friend of mine picked up clean dc2 vtir manual 100k kms just yesterday for 7.5k if you look hard enough you'll find one.
Yeah better take my time then and wait for 'DA 1' to pop up.
I want a B series so that rules out EG/EK without engine swaps, plus there is just too many of them going around in my area. Pretty much leaves DC2 and EM1. Both around the same level of performance, 1200kg 120kw/127kw. The EM1 being a 1.6 would have better fuel economy than the 1.8, although probably not much.
Stock or mildly modified? Some people say never buy modified cars cos they've been flogged... but some say modified cars are generally taken care of better cos the owners know their shit and care about the car
I believe it's ok to buy a modded one if the mods are only light. things like muffler, wheels, interior bits. stuff thats easily reversible. also buy a compression tester and ask the seller if they'll let you test the cars compression (takes about 20mins). if not, ask THEM to take you for a drive first, and see how they drive it. I looked at a jdm front one when I was looking for a DC2 and I mainly didn't buy it because the guy flogged the shit out of it when he took me for a drive lol
Would anyone be able to give me a realistic price tag for what my car would go for? I was planning to keep the wheels, but rest of the stuff would go with the car. You've seen what's on it from the pics i put up.
106xxx, auto, sub/amp, tinted, sunroof, lip, side and rear visors. Maybe chuck stock sussy back on.
Are the side visors genuine? I'll take em haha
Nah mate, it's a different shape. If you're 'OEM ONLY BRAH' then it's not for you hahah it was half the price of genuine honda access visors so whatever, it keeps the rain out of my car, good enough
looks like this

No harm posting it up for how much you got it for, who knows someone might actually buy it. IMO i think you should sell all your parts, might get extra cash for them. If you dont really like the civics then you should just save up abit longer and get a VTIR/DC2R or something they're dropping in price. No point getting another gsi since your not fully happy without some vtec and you'll be in the same situation again.
Maybe see how much a dealer would take it for? Might be your best option tbh. I was at a dealership not long ago and just asked out of curiosity and they told me they'd give me 7-8k for it haha. Mines older than yours too.
i wired up my highbeams last night and took it for a drive! i can see again!
I got it for 10k at 100xxx stock as a rock with broken thermostat... it puzzles me why the dealer didn't just change the thermo when they did the major service before selling
A lot of the money i spent on the car can't be sold like central locking, tint, sub and amp (cbf taking it out), visors are stuck onto the car, only worth a few hundred anyway.
My budget is around 12-13k (assuming my car goes for at least 6-7k), but i wanna save money for some light mods. And gotta think about insurance, DC2R would cost a lot more than a DC2 or civic.
gooner do you just go to a random dealer and ask them how much they'd buy your car for? and possible to play them off each other?
why not go for a eg with a b18c7 in it, theere pretty cheap these days and alot of fun.. i can compare ur car to my gsi, Had only done 100,000 manual tint sunroof sub amp major service done last year. When i was considering selling it,i could only see it selling for 5k MAYBE 6 if lucky. Since urs is auto i would expect 5k. Not trying to be a faukwit. But thats the price i think they sell for.
Fuarkkkk *shoots self in head*
An EG with b18c7 would cause a lot of trouble... RWC laws in vic are tough now and ill get screwed over one way or another with defects or P plate engine mod shit
yeah i kno. B18c wouldnt cause that much trouble, the engines look exactly like a b16a.. most cops wouldnt have a clue, and aslong as ur not being a dickhead.. ull slip under the radar.
I think its possible to get 7k for your gsi with abit of luck. Just gotta target those people that just simply want a clean car and have no/little knowledge about integras haha. I had an auto bb6 prelude (non vtec) and i thought i wouldn't get more than 7k for it but some fob guy loved it cause it was clean and sold for more than what i expected LOL. I also got that car for 10k
Target the 1st car buyers, the 17 year old asian kids that watch too much f&f lol
... oh shit im talking about myself 12 months ago :o
Or girls? Just point out its strong points, it actually has a lot for the simple fact that its a Honda.
http://firesport.com.au/why-do-viets...--ad196039.htm
hahaha
im the 'less fortunate' :(
Who cares? Just some sorry dickhead with no life what so ever.
Is springvale equaivalent to cabramatta in Sydney or something
Yeah im viet and I have to agree... All my friends who are viet are all "civic bro! Integra bro!". But all asians, not just viet this can be applied to.
Springvale is melbourne's cabra, where you get dragged at every light, get your shit stolen while you take a piss, get bashed for wearing wrong colour shirt, get pork buns etc
mind you, the guy who wrote that probably drives a rusted VN calais with no steering wheel, but it's better then everyone else because it has a V8...
australian logic much..?
haha
fingers crossed I'll be able to get my integra around the skip in the front yard and into the newly cleared out garage to start work today. maybe start pulling out the transmission.
wish me luck boys!

Not a teg, but so farking intense.
How much do genuine visors go for? second hand that is
Springy is pretty bad in that sense, pretty sure if u park like a dc2r there for every hour you leave it parked you'll lose a part of your car LOL
wow most pointless video i've everseen
Bought the parts for my DIY Icebox. Except the rubber connector is too thick -.- I R disappoint
Yes I'm mad ! i wanted 2 see that thing in action but got whole 5minutes of it moving 20metres, anyways OT fresh paint job for my dc2
Here you go Charlie

Important info in regards to parts and install is on pages 1, 2 and 6
Hmm... interesting. Ive just got K&N pod in stock airbox with resonator piping removed. Maybe i should chuck in a pipe to suck air from my indicators too
Im liking post #37 on page 3. Would save having to buy all the extra piping shit, just cut old resi piping and put a clamp on
Yeah, that's what I have at the moment. All the pipes, cement and connector cost me $50 from Bunnings. Only thing left is to find the speaker port [velocity stack]. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying an after market CAI/SRI and performs better from the tests of read in the past.
honda prelude type r.
lolwut
