will these bad boys fit our civics?
I have a strong feeling it will. I think theres a seller on here sellig those though. cant remember who
Yeh they should fit, ive got the skunk2 one and to be honest they dont feel that great, they just shorten it by decreasing the leverage.
decreasing the throw, not so much leverage.
u need a combo of both to get a decent short shift.. maybe consider chopping the stick? haha
i love and hate the FD shfiter, throw angle feels like a lot but the throw isn't really that long... are there any short shifter kits? I know there are some for the civic si in the US but that's for the 6 speed (no sure if we have the same deal here.. or if it fits the 5 speed gearbox)
it's a full on shifter replacement. http://www.twmperformance.com/shorts...ic-gateway.htm

i heard that by shortening the shifter in an already short shift (our FDs) is quite bad for the gearbox
so im not game enough try since its grinding somethings being stuck already
ill get xd9 pics up tmrw, however car is fkn filthy as but meh lol
my rears will probably scrub with full load.. and im only running 18x8 +35 with 215/40/18 tyres =/...
TWM make awesome shifters, having used them in my last three cars.
I have never actually seen damage caused by shortshifters, so many people use them with no issues - if there really were problems, you would hear about it alot.
JDMyard sell mugen short shifters - They may be titled under FN2, but are compatible with FD, I am currently using it - the throw is not really shortened a great deal, but the feeling of shifting is far more solid and noticeable.
What else can we do to fix the shifting experience. A guy on 8th Gen Forums wrote a post about modding the shifting experience on a Si..
But what do we have in Aus that's compatible. All we can do is put better transmission fluid in i guess?
might be compatible, just gotta know if it fits the lx/ex/dx models
change the shifter bushings (where the shifter cables connect to the gearbox). These are also available from TWM performance - will provide a notchier feeling
